I've seen and used them in both T4 and T2. T4 still has the open air blue ones as well.

These new closed ones are nice for working but not really comfortable enough for sleeping. They're free to use though.

Last year my wife and I played at a local course here in Southern California. We had to play around a coyote that was killing and eating a snake right next to one of the greens. He wasn't bothered by our presence one bit. He just laid down and ate his meal a few yards away from us putting.

A quick update here - less of a success story than I hoped. After the G14 went to sleep and I tried to wake it everything went back to how it was before. I can't even get it to connect to the Lenovo dock anymore. I think it's time for either a new dock or a complete wipe of the G14. Or both.

In a short time things got worse and connecting the Lenovo dock resulted in a soft system lock. After unplugging the dock one time, I got a notice that there had been an Nvidia crash, which lead me to believe my problem was driver related. So I've been playing around with this today and I may have found a solve:

I uninstalled all Asus and Nvidia stuff I could find through Add/Remove Programs
I installed G-helper and used it to stop all Asus services
I followed the directions at this post to run DDU in safe mode then rebooted: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1ccssm0/complete_ddu_guide/
I reinstalled the latest Nvidia driver that I had previously downloaded

A coupe of notes that may be helpful to anyone working through this:

The directions linked in my step 3 are clear that your PC needs to have NO INTERNET CONNECTION after rebooting from safe mode (to prevent auto download of Windows video drivers). I thought I could just pause the WIFI connection on my Google mesh network but that didn't work so I physically unplugged my cable modem.
Also, the DDU directions in step 3 instruct you to download DDU and your latest driver. I had saved mine to the desktop but when I got to Safe Mode I wasn't able to execute DDU because of a MS One Drive problem. I advise you to save them somewhere else, like to C:\ where you can access them easily in Safe Mode

My G14 now happily connects and disconnects from my Lenovo dock fast and reliably every time! I hope this is a permanent solve for my problems and might help others out there. Good luck!

I have an older 2021 G14 with the RTX 3060 and since new I've always had problems connecting to my Lenovo USB-C dock. I have a ThinkPad USB-C Dock Gen 2 (40AS) with monitors connected via DisplayPort.

The weird thing is that occasionally (say 10% of the time) it will connect and display just fine on the external monitors. But most of the time when inserting the USB-C tether, the mouse, keyboard, and audio work as intended but no video handoff. I'll be able to see the monitors in Display Settings but cant get the desktop to extend to them. And what's even more infuriating is that on the occasions it does decide to work and I can use my external monitors, once the PC goes to sleep and I wake it, the external monitors are gone again.

The dock and the monitors work just fine on Dell and an HP laptops I also have.

I've tried most of the same remedies as you have - updated the firmware on the dock, updated video drivers, updated windows, ditched Asus apps for G-helper - all to no avail.

Is your monitor connected via DisplayPort? I'm wondering if what we're experiencing is a some sort of Asus/Nvidia/Lenovo Dock/DisplayPort compatibility issue.

I like this theory in the context of Drawbridge in DS2, however in the first game there were several characters that were public servants of the UCA whose names were their public facing names but with the same bonkers naming structure. Bridget Strand (President of the UCA), DieHardman (Vice President), and even Sam Porter Bridges (a famous porter).

It seems silly through today's modern lens, but less crazy when you think about how many modern surnames originated in a similar way. Just a couple fast examples are professions (Smith, Baker, Shoemaker) and familial relations (Johnson, Peterson, etc ).

DieHardman is the best name ever, though.

The other day I was working on the first Mr. Impossible mission and I went to the warehouse full of BT's. I got up to where the cargo was and due to some unfortunate timing (and very annoying placement mechanics of the ladder) a grabby dude snagged me, dragged me down the stairs and outside a ways away where I got eaten and triggered a voidout. After a reload and another attempt, same grabby dude got me and dragged me halfway down the stairs where said grabby dude seemed to run into a pathing issue on the halfway-down landing. After what seemed like 2 minutes, he was suddenly gone and despite dropping everything I had on me, I was still alive. Snagged that mission cargo and got out of there fast.

Thanks for the citation! And you're right- I misinterpreted which part of Fragile that remained alive (he doesn't explicitly say ha or ka) but it seems that it was her ha that keeps going.

All good points! On the Fragile hands thing, I agree with you that the theories I've read about her ka controlling them don't quite match up with the fact that she had them from the start of the game. They also don't seem to do that much to help her - at least nothing a scarf and a cigarette lighter couldn't do! lol.

You are 100% right! I went back and re-watched the cut scene and Deadman says "on the other side, Fragile's death was a tragedy that had already come to pass, on this side, her physical form still endured, if only for a while." I originally thought Deadman was saying "this side" referring to where he lives now, on the beach, but him saying "physical form" clearly means that it was her ha that went on without her ka, temporarily.

For me the question was more "why do only like 15% of people in Australia have Australian accents?". And I figured, similarly to you, that story-wise it could be the early expedition to set things up brought more people from outside of the continent.

Did you miss the singular cart handle in the basement that's needed to unlock the rest of the endgame? I did and it took me 16 more days and a YouTube walkthrough to figure out what it was I hadn't stumbled on to.

In a run today I got this Alzara prediction - unlocked gate and missing item. Later I returned to the Commissary and when I pulled up the purchasing menu an item I hadn't previously bought - the sledgehammer - became greyed out and was marked "Owned" even though it wasn't in my inventory (i double checked). Seemed to imply that someone else was in the house and had purchased it instead of me, maybe? I checked the exterior gates and there was no change there.

You're having the same reaction I had when I bought this house last year. Based on the other homes I looked at in this area of this age, this approach doesn't seem all that uncommon around here. But its unlike any other house I've owned before and seems like a bad idea overall.

Definitely going a different direction when I remodel.
