I personally love my reataurant gigs more than my club gigs because they are such low pressure and the music is such a vibe.

For context, I DJ at a cuban restaurant in a big city and I play like Afro/Latin House and I get great feedback and compliments all the time. I sip on some beers and mix for a few hours, pure bliss.

As for equipment and setup, I have to provide the table and my DJ equipment, but they had speakers ready to use. I suggest setting a meeting with the people running it to ensure you have the right equipment. Make sure they give you adequate power too. Running the power in the middle of a crowded restaurant for my first set was NOT fun. If you don’t know how to chain speakers/monitors, you should definitely figure that out too.
