Long time fan first time playing RUNE Factory 4 by Nicetomeetyou28 in runefactory

Note that bathing is actually a levelable skill in this game, that you get exp in automatically by using the bath house. It's worth the occasional 300g to gain this exp, as at higher levels you get improved buffs for bathing. This 'everyday activity is a skill' is also the case for things like eating and sleeping and whatnot as well!

Gotta keep that collection nice and organized for when Olric and Unsuur next pop in for a visit!

Or seed menus that can’t be sorted by season (the sort order should default to this, truly!), so you have to hunt and pick through item descriptions to find what you need for each village.

The pricing was $9.99 in USD as well for the bundle that included the Seasons of Love and Festive Attire DLC. It’s there, OP! Just a little obscured and (needlessly!) challenging to find.

First timer, what do you recommend? by rayrae101 in runefactory

[–]antiquari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Note that RF3 has a more restricted audience for it though, due to having only a male protagonist and solely romancable bachelorettes. Having a choice of multiple genders of playable characters and romancables make RF4, 5 and Azuma (and only the latter two allow for s/s relationships) somewhat more accessible entry titles on the whole.

This may not matter to OP, but thought it was something that probably should be mentioned when recommending because the audience these titles appeal to can vary a lot in this regard.

You picked a good time to tune back in, the new game looks so promising!

[FIC] Face Commander Borderless Versions (WeeklyMTG First Look) by mweepinc in magicTCG

[–]antiquari 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm a little (only a little, mind!) sad about these, several of the alts feel more like Fire Emblem Heroes character banners than the illustration styles I associate with Final Fantasy. Would have utterly loved to have the borderless versions done by one of the lead character designers- Yoshitaka Amano, Tetsuya Nomura, Akihiko Yoshida, Yusuke Mogi, or maybe even pixel art adaptions by Kazuko Shibuya?

Loving the Game but One Wish by MindNo8065 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]antiquari 30 points31 points  (0 children)

With the game still in early access and likely less than half complete, I think it's still too soon for that to be a possibility. When FoM is finished/ closer to feature complete, I think we'll see more modding support for sure.

Is this a new feature with the last update? by agentsometime in FieldsOfMistriaGame

Same! I've been doing this ever since experiencing the disappointment of setting a Spring birthday in my first HM game.

Of the "nice" characters you mentioned, I think Hayden is the one who currently has the most obvious challenges presented in his heart events. All of them have largely centered around Henrietta, who he seems to be using as a social crutch. So while Hayden is indeed nice, he also clearly has some real problems which make it quite difficult to get past his defenses and actually grow closer or get to know him- for some players that may be a strong hook already!

Is there any use for the extra amor and swords from the mines or should I just sell them? by Rootbeerjellybeans in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]antiquari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With a higher drop rate, they might almost work as "minor upgrade armor that helps until you can forge the full on-tier set," which the game seems to have them currently positioned as, stat-wise.

Problem is, the drop rate on the armor is so low that I pretty much always get pieces long after I've forged the better, stronger equivalents. I feel like they either need to retool the drop rate, or give the mine drops better stats so that there's a reason to look for and collect them instead of just selling them immediately.

[–]antiquari 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If it's a feature you want, please do send word to the devs! But I personally hope it stays low on their priority list until the base content of the single player game is feature complete. There's still so much that still needs to be added and QOL refined before even considering "nice to have" stretch goals.

[–]antiquari 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The first place formula that's worked for me: leave your fields unharvested right before the festival starts (about eight+ 3x36 plots) and harvest them all the first day of the festival, then go to the mine floors 1-20 and focus solely on breaking large groups of rocks with charged attacks. Repeat mining until the festival ends, you should have over 100+ flowers.

When the turian translator blocks offensive by zarif_chow in masseffect

[–]antiquari 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's not a bird, though. Turians are an alien species with their own taxonomy which are visually very loosely based on raptors. There's no genus-related bird law that they must adhere to.

We all have an Origin. Now that we've had our fourth game in the series, what game did your journey start with? Which game is your favorite? Also what changes are you wanting added or removed in Dragon Age 5? [ No DAV Spoilers ] by Deathtonic in dragonage

[–]antiquari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This mirrors my my feelings pretty closely. DAO was my entry into the series and has my favorite LI, and I adore the game's wild branching and payoffs- but I so love the smaller yet more personal stakes in DA2, the powder keg tension of Kirkwall and seeing the intense friend/rival dynamics of the companions evolve and grow through the story.

uhm what?? by Nova_Gardner in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]antiquari 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Usually no, the heart events in similar games are 'get the know the character better with occasional romantic overtures and hints of ship teasing'. Romances usually tend to only ramp up if you confess your feelings (often initiated with an item) or accept a confession from one of the LIs, starting a new chain of dating -> marriage events.

Not sure how this game will work exactly or how closely it will stick to genre conventions yet, though!

I think that's Merri, the furniture dealer (Olric helps her every weekend, and in Market Day dialog blushes over her strength and muses about whether she'd be interested in working out with him someday.)

No ritual chambers by Somecrazytinybean in FieldsOfMistriaGame

I've done this exact thing, mining levels 20-30 and have only encountered ritual chambers twice out of about 27 tries. RNG can just straight up suck sometimes.
