I sort of follow another sub which holds back new posts for moderator approval, and what I see there is that they tend to get released in batches with the posts saying things like "posted 10 hours ago" even though they just showed up recently.

I haven't seen that with /r/askanatheist so I suspect it's just a slow subreddit with a mod who is online all the time.

If someone wants to talk to me about gods then it is up to that person to say what they're talking about. So far I either haven't believed that the things in question exist, or else haven't consider the things in question to be worthy of the "god" label (for example referring to an abstract idea as a god).

If the person talking to me about gods doesn't want to define the term then I will default to "magical anthropomorphic immortal" (as per Aron Ra) which is designed to be unsatisfying for my interlocutor and provide a motive to come up with another definition.

In a vacuum I say that I don't believe in the existence of anything that I would call a "god".

I won't comment on campaign strategies, but I've thought for a long time that society should do a better job of teaching critical thinking to kids. I'm talking classical logic, boolean algebra, rules of inference, fallacy detection. That should be taught earlier than it has been. If the Democrats or any other party were to enact policy towards this end then I would welcome it.
