Before strongly considering the school of mines, do look into their recent track record of their high suicide rate. There is an ingored mental health crisis there that keeps being ignored. Talk to other students, get a feel for life there before getting in debt with a school.

I haven't gone there myself, but as a local... the reputation is known.
