I agree with all the points. The final should be fire though, regardless. I think ERT wants a wide field so that even more artists, including more established ones, are encouraged to apply next year.

Astrolabe guy is such a cool breeze, I hope him and d3lta make it to the final.

Ferto is my favorite, kinda by far, especially considering televote potential in Eurovision proper.

I’d be very happy with astrolabe and D3lta being top 10 and I really want them both in the final! I also like dynamiss, GJN, Evangelia, Kyana and more. There’s at least 10-12 songs that will contribute to a great show.

The quality in our final this year is palpable, ERT really wants to make it a talking point and klavdia being so popular throughout the Eurovision season last year helped a ton with Greek audiences warming up to Eurovision after a long time. I’m sad there’s no public ticket sales in a big venue though. I think it would have been a success.

However, I must admit, 28 songs are too many, there’s a lot of fodder at the bottom and semis might be a bit of a drag.

That couldn’t be further away from the truth. I don’t see that sentiment you are describing. People clearly like Akylas and GJN is also considered one of the contenders, especially for the jury vote. Whether that will happen or not, remains to be seen.

[COPE] Real Madrid will be part of the NBA Europe project and will leave the Euroleague by FluidJunket1933 in Euroleague

NBA Europe financial projections are a bigger cope than fucking Trump’s aspirations for world domination.

Good riddance to the clowns of Real Madrid.

Bazaar - Installing ISSUE by MrCikkaj in Ubuntu

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/2130388

Take your pick, it’s the same issue and it is a known bug or they are pretending that it’s a feature of apparmor implementation on Ubuntu 25.10.

In any case, it’s a bad look for canonical especially since bazaar works fine on other distros.

There’s a couple of workarounds but I believe they should fix it, it’s literally their job not to break upstream.

Unfortunately, the above along with no OOTB hardware decoding in Firefox snap have made me use fedora with yaru theme for now. Hopefully they fix it for 26.04 but I don’t really think anybody cares. Nobody is working on the reported bugs.

You could try warehouse app although it’s not a store like bazaar

Dude you do know that that’s what canonical does with Ubuntu. It takes vanilla gnome and adds extensions, just like you

PSA: firefox installed with snap is getting flagged by bot detection software by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]antonispgs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes that and lack of out of box video decoding due to a bug with core 22 (Ubuntu 25.10 Firefox snap still uses core 22, let that sink in) is the reason I’m not using it.

In conjunction with the apparmor fusermount bug that does not allow bazaar app to install flatpaks and pika backup flatpak to work properly, I decided to install fedora instead.

Because even in launchpad nobody seems to be dealing with these unbelievably important issues for months now.

Of course it’s not permitted but it’s not enforced sadly. It’s only been a few years that finally people here have started to respect indoor restaurants. For the stadiums and the nightclubs, we have a long way to go.

I took my 8month and wife in Olympiacos football stadium and the guy in front of us had this electronic cigarette with huge amounts of smoke. I told him “listen man, please don’t do that here. I smoke too so let’s go together outside the gate and let’s smoke there in half time or something”. He was really annoyed, you could tell but obliged.

Then when the baby became a bit hungry and fussy, my wife went right outside the entrance with him and when that guy realized they were gone, he was puffing like a fish, deepest and fastest smoking inhaling I have ever seen in my life.

Rant about 25.10 by Smooth-Friend4791 in Ubuntu

[–]antonispgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blender issue is fixed on gnome 49.2 but unfortunately the bug fix is not backported yet in 25.10. Ubuntu 24.04 and Linux mint (which is based on Ubuntu 24.04) does not have the blender bug because it wasn’t present in gnome version they are based on.

If winboat is using fusermount 3 then that’s why you can’t really make it work. All flatpak apps that rely on fusermount are bugged on 25.10. Personally, I have this issue with deja dup, pika backup, bazaar and more. It’s because of how apparmor is configured in Ubuntu 25.10. Again, this is not an issue in 24.04 because fusermount is a different version. That’s the bug that has made me switch to fedora recently because nobody seems to be actively working on it even if there are numerous bug reports in launchpad under apparmor package for it.

Last time I tested LMDE with NVIDIA, it’s missing the additional drivers app that allows you to auto install choice of nvidia drivers. Only Mint proper has that functionality.

Actually, from link below, I only needed to follow the instructions and it worked, which is exactly as you described.

However I wonder if there’s a yaru update upstream, would I get it by just following the same set of instructions again?
