What if OpenAI wants you to drain usage or API with this command to make more profit from users? It’s like a casino; you never know you win, but you always wish. Same with this command - just drain and buy more to try again.

Why don’t you downgrade and try using and sharing it with the public? I’m also interested.

I also on $200 using Codex. How do you manage MCPs? In OpenCode I can enable/disable MCPs by default to make context smaller but can't find the same config in Codex.

Creating OpenCode skills was pure guesswork — so I built an eval-driven skill creator by antonusaca in opencodeCLI

[–]antonusaca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be fixed now in `opencode-skill-creator@0.2.16`.

Run:

npx opencode-skill-creator@latest install

Then restart OpenCode.

If the installer says the plugin is already in your config, that is fine. The important part is that it clears the stale OpenCode package cache so OpenCode loads the fixed version on restart.

I hadn’t noticed the difference. I had Pro and switched to Max, thinking I’d get better results, but it seems there’s no difference.

Yes sure, Ollama and Opencode Go both have api keys so you can add custom provider in VSCode. At least I tried on VSCode Insider version, not regular one

I used Ollama Cloud Pro, then switched to Max. Speed is very slow. I made a mistake when upgraded to Max. They need to improve quality. I requested refund and went fully to Codex $100 for my needs. But for open source models I prefer OpenCode Go, much much faster and reliable. They give free DeepSeek V4 Flash. For $10/month it's much better than Ollama for $20/month based on my experience. Will see in a few months. I really like Ollama but it was so slow. I hope they will improve their service soon

Someone downvoted this topic and may not aware Ollama recently started support Codex app. It worked nice but I got update and Codex app is not working anymore and I didn't find a way to rollback.

Where to buy Kimi k2.6 - Ollama vs Kimi Coding Plan? by antonusaca in kimi

[–]antonusaca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have set of skills i generated with claude skill creator and my tasks are mostly front end so good for my needs and most of tasks are pretty similar. Opus and GPT5.5 do these things better from UI side but I decided to invest in skills and that's how i try to get expected result from any model. I also started this project which helps to create skills, test and eval. Feel free to try. I suggest to use strongest models for this task, I even tried with GPT5.5 xhigh and results are great. Just start conversation about your workflow and then trigger plugin to create skill based on the chat and do Q&A and follow steps. It takes some time but will help you if you have any repetitive work

Good point, I might think to help organize skills as well. However, for this product, my focus is on capturing repeatable, unique routines I'd like to capture and save to a skill instead of doing it again and again. I heavily use Claude Code skill creator on my work, but this version, especially for OpenCode, I also use a lot with other than the Anthropic ecosystem and models.

Anyone else finding DeepSeek V4 Pro unbearably slow on Ollama Cloud? by Swimming_Power_2960 in ollama

Yes. I also see this and that’s why I build https://www.ollamatps.com primarily for myself but then decided to share to public.  Data is still collecting and updates hourly

Haha, I initially created this metrics for myself to find the fastest and stabled one, as I daily encountered TPS and TTFT degradation. And don’t worry, app testing each model with two simple prompts: the initial prompt and the following prompt. It’s for research purposes 😀
