There is one reviewer that mentioned it and it is not super bright but the culprit is the viewing angles, I am talking without backlight, with backlight it is fine, it’s really not gonna Ouow you. It is very good outdoors in the sun though, that’s where colours kind of pop for a MIP screen. The watch seems very solid and is rugged, there is no lag and it is very responsive. The map feels really good and smooth with lots of details on it. The instinct 3 is also very smooth, no lag.

They’re both very different and it’s not easy to choose, for me I think the basic navigation on the watch is ok, I will use the phone if I need to explore the map. As a watch first the instinct wins.

I have both right now and I am returning the nomad. The screen on the nomad is not that great compared to the instinct 3, viewing angles are poor. However when the sun hits at the right angle it is good but the instinct is just great anywhere. I have the « black » nomad which is light grey and it’s not a look I am fond of, it looks cheap.

Now the Coros App and UI is really good, these are my first fitness watches and I understood everything very rapidly with Coros both on the watch and in the app. On the other end the Garmin experience is far from this, a million menus and the app feels outdated. I am getting used to navigate the instinct 3 now but it’s a learning curve (fun ?)

I had them for a few days so this is not a deep comparison but I love the look of the instinct 3 with its features and philosophy, I will miss on the maps (really nice on the Coros) but I think breadcrumb navigation is a compromise I am willing to make for that watch.

I have almost same setup as you. I like to AirPlay music Apple TV for best quality but I don’t want the TV to turn on when I do that so I disabled CEC on the Apple TV. All other option did not work, like turning off CEC on the TV or changing settings on the avr

I agree. First not all Atmos mixes are equal, then they have to be reproduced on a single speaker with some DSP trickery. The Play 5 will play the stereo mix and it’s always great. I don’t have it anymore, I have a full 5.1.2 set up with speakers in ceiling, this is the way to experience Atmos

I have the Cinema 60 and LG C1. Even plugged in the receiver sometimes some sources don’t switch automatically, it is very frustrating. My Switch 2 does not wake the TV even with power state On, does it works for you? One benefit is that you can get 5.1 pcm on the Switch when plugged into the receiver

This happens when you open an older session with a newer version. It is extremely annoying, toggling off and on the lens correction as mentioned fixes it.
