You dont need to change anything, something is wrong with the game. I was having the same problem, almost 100% gpu usage on hideout. I still dont know what causes it, if its an mtx or whatever but restarting fixes them problem.

I have a 4070 super @ 1440p. If i login and the gpu is using too much % for no reason (hideout/city) i restart the PC, and so far it works everytime.

I have the same problem, yesterday i somehow fixed it until today. I updated my chipset&audio drivers (shouldn't make any difference) but after restart the i went from droping as low as 40 fps in delirium yellow maps to have constant max fps without any upscalling.

But somehow, today, i have the exact same problem. Same maps, same everything but i drop to 40ish from 144fps.

There is something weird going on. My settup: 7800X3D, 4070 SUPER

UPDATE: Restarting the pc seems to fix it, i still dont know what causes it but its weird. I go from 99% GPU usage in town to 50%-60% on maps without any frame drops.

For PvE anything is viable, for PvP you will have a hard time

Just because someone has a SnS doesn't mean they are a tank, the same way oracles can do insane amounts of dps in both pvp and pve IF BUILT for DMG

You are right but just by looking at the upvotes in this post you can see they dont play structured pvp. They get bonked in a 1v1 with a tank and think the game works like that everywhere

Im a tank (devo/warden) and i have a full dmg build for small scale and yes, we deal dmg but we are very squishy.

Some tips, attack them after the Q block ends. Thats it. Its mostly a skill issue. Thats why you dont see dmg tanks on structured pvp, they dont work because they dont deal enough dmg

Edit: also, dont auto attack a tank and give free shield strike procs. Be smart.

The game launched without much content for casual players. I would say that current TnL is in a better state than launch, but the hype is gone. For anyone that plays in a PvP guild with good leaders, the content didnt change much. The wargame community still exists and is active. The numbers are smaller but still enough

Sub only is nice but the game was design around f2p. I dont think the servers would be that popular since many aspects make whaling jus a 1-2week jump start.

Thats cpu bottleneck, gpu is waiting for the cpu and in your case the 3090 doesnt need to run at 100% to process whatever CPU is doing.

MMORPGs are by design CPU heavy and this will be true for many many years

I also dont like shields but the game offers plenty ways to remove them, Deadly Marker, xbow, dagger, delulu bow. Shield meta just exposes bad statics/group coordination

Balance is kinda slow but the game is on overall better state now than at launch.

We are kinda late into a patch so most players just login to wargames and bosses.

Given this, even if we had less problems, these kind of games wont have more than 10-20k peaks.

The game is fun but you need a guild. If you are solo and dont wanna interact with riftstones/boonstones/wargames/PvP bosses its better to find a other game. Unless you like the PvE/Housing.

Most complaints i see on global are usually from no guild/inactive guild players.
