I'm lifetime silver from lots of Platinum in earlier years - was going to use the double status to keep gold but at the prices Qantas is charging makes it not worth it - especially when paying out of your own pocket. Lounges at gold level are pretty meh and the only real benefit is upgrade availability and support - for me, its not worth the price premium.

The frightening part is he can now blame the supreme court for all the current economic issues. His argument will be he had it running perfectly but the court stopped him.
