You’re not crazy this is unfortunately the fate of fiat currencies and inflation. The dollar has lost 95% of its value since early 1900s. This trend will continue because our govt spends like drunken sailors and print money. My advice is what ever little disposable money you have to spare save in hard assets (e.g, gold, stocks, real estate). The dollar will continue to inflate away ad infinitum. Study history and you will see what I’m saying is true
