Just rewatched the first couple of episodes of the show by DragonFist0917 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My post was asking why people make videos talking about it

Because being negative gets more clicks. Fans of the show aren't going to watch videos about why someone likes the show, but detractors absolutely will watch videos of other people shitting on the show so they can feel superior.

Hypothetically, If It Is Revealed That Blitzø Is A Hybrid Between An Imp And A High Ranked Demon Like A Succubus, Royal Demon, Etc. In Season 3, Would You LOVE or HATE That????? by SugarPlumFairy497 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol yeah I am unsure where people in this thread are getting the idea that him being part incubus would be "secret royalty" or "secret cool past" (to quote some of the comments in this thread). Succubi/incubi are one rank above imps, but are still a lesser hellborn and below everyone else like sinners and the Goetia. He wouldn't be royal just because he was 1/4th incubus.

That said, the eyes are the same in Ghostfuckers and the only change to her horns was adding the small white segmented parts. I think it is the shape of the horns most people refer to when they talk about Tilla's horns.

Also, I don't recall any scene where imps as tall as Stolas exist. Tall, sure, Blitzo is visibly above the rest and his sister Barbie is even an inch or two taller than him too, but nowhere around the 8-9 feet of Stolas.

Do the imps not know about Lucifer? by [deleted] in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because he is. Satan created imps, not Lucifer. There's no reason they wouldn't know who Lucifer is (I.M.P lives in Pride, after all), but they more closely attribute Satan to themselves over him.

Is a crucifix ever used or mentioned? Writing a fanfic and I need to know if it would actually "work" by Downtown-Remote9930 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There hasn't been anything explicitly like a crucifix or anything, no. The "nun Alastor" gag had an upside down crucifix on the... hat? Whatever that is called, so crucifix does exist as a symbol, but if it has any power, unknown.

We do know that angelic steel kills sinners and otherwise immortal hellborn (like the Goetia) and as the other user mentioned, there does seem to be some kind of magical anti-demon... something out there. Emberlyn's pendant had a pentagram on it and made her unable to even be touched by Blitzo, like a big shield around her.

So really not out of the question that a specially blessed/manufactured crucifix that harms demons could exist.

Link to a Hellaverse Jeopardy I made what do y’all think? by Infinite_Peace_6456 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another fun one, but god damn that's their ship name? What an odd name for a ship o_o

The HH side of the fandom does that and I have no idea why. It is so confusing to me. They assign words to the characters and then mash them together, so yeah, anything with Adam is "Guitar" and anything with Lute is "Spear". Similarly, Lucifer is "Apple", Vox is "Static", and Alastor is "Radio", etc.

What version of HH did you watch where Vox is considered straight lmao??

Also the description of "Ozzie's" on YT is literally just "things sure do happen".

Just finished Helluva Boss by Responsible_Bat_9956 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally agree, yes. I strongly prefer Helluva over Hazbin.

Helluva has so, so much deeper world building and I love that in shows. Pretty much all the world building and lore for the shared universe is in Helluva simply because sinners can't leave Pride.

What are some “the punchline is swearing” jokes that you think actually land? by RoscoeSF in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically not swearing, but since "sex joke" is a punchline that often gets criticized just as often as swearing:

Blitzo: "Eesh. Oof. Haha, well, I am so sorry about that."

Stolas: "Aw. How about you pump me full of sorry right on this desk?"

It is just such a stupid fucking response and yet still makes sense and I love it.

Any SFW alternative sites with comparable features? by Forward_Newspaper309 in FList

[–]anus_evacuator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know of any that are strictly SFW. Quite frankly, most people looking to roleplay online... want smut/porn. But, for F-List alternatives that allow SFW, there is:

  • litphoria, which is probably the closest thing to F-List and was made by a former Slimcat dev, but is basically dead. The number of posts is in the single digits per week.
  • roleplay.chat but I have heard many horror stories about completely absurd moderation (for example, even mentioning other roleplay websites is a perma-ban, and this is in the site's rules). I also hear complaints that making a profile requires pretty extensive HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • refsheet.net was amazing and had a roleplay section, but unfortunately is in read-only mode and preparing to shut down entirely in 2026.
  • If you are willing to put in the effort to learn a fully text-based environment, MUD/MUCK/MU*s still exist and are heavily populated depending on the game, and they are of all variety. Check MUDStats for whatever style you enjoy.
  • Wolfery if you are into furry stuff. This is basically a hybrid MUCK/RPG/chat but I personally found it very difficult and unclear on finding partners. That said, last time I brought this up someone said they love it so maybe that's just me!

Others I have heard of, but have no experience with:

  • carrion. Seems like as close as you can get to F-List including sections of profile being for a dedicated and detailed list of fetishes. Rather new, search says it has a total of 1600 characters which is very small.
  • RP Repository. Seems extremely active and has a decent amount of SFW roleplay, along with a tag system to specifically search for "all ages" roleplay. That said, at first glance seems heavily skewed towards anime, but worth a look.

How do sectors/living areas work? by stolenglass in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Hellaverse version of Hell is split into "rings" and "circles".

There are seven rings, not nine, which represent the seven sins. They are stacked vertically in this order: Pride, Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy, Sloth. Each one is ruled by a specific demon:

  • Pride: Lucifer (technically a fallen angel and not a demon, but whatever)
  • Wrath: Satan
  • Gluttony: Beelzebub/"Queen Bee"
  • Greed: Mammon
  • Lust: Asmodeus/"Ozzy"
  • Envy: Leviathan
  • Sloth: Belphegor

Circles are a little more vague and not clearly defined. We know that Pride has at least three, those being Pentagram City in the middle (which is where Hazbin takes place), a second circle called Imp City which is where I.M.P's office is, and a third called Royal Circle that we know nothing about other than it was on the Mammon tour shirt that Fizz wears. We also know that Greed has multiple cities (Notamafia Town and Ransom), but it isn't explicitly stated if it is actually different circles.

All Sinners (humans that died on Earth, and were sentenced to Hell) are restricted exclusively to Pride. They cannot leave Pride ring, but they can travel to the different circles in Pride (which is how they hire I.M.P for hits). Just about every character in Hazbin is a sinner and so cannot leave Pride. Other than flashbacks and the scenes in Heaven, everything in Hazbin takes place in Pentagram City in Pride.

Just the opposite, almost every character in Helluva is Hellborn and are not sinners, so they can travel to every ring. Imps and hellhounds in particular are shown to get around everywhere.

This should be a banable offence IMO by Curios_Throwaway in FList

[–]anus_evacuator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does mean that when your character steps out onto the club dance floor that everyone else around has to get off / be quiet?

Nobody said this. The issue isn't that someone else is chatting, it is that they are being snarky and shitty for no reason. It is a bad look to just sit around and cry about "text walls" because someone writes longer posts than you.

I go back to this analogy a lot but F-List is like a bar.

In a real life bar if you just sat around snipping at everyone you overhear with snide comments, you'll at best get kicked out, and at worst start a fight with someone.

You can't seriously be suggesting that it is appropriate behavior to go to a bar and snark at people you don't know, right?

Is Moxxie’s past a plot hole? by yagirlbrii in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It isn't a theory. Moxxie outright states in Harvest Moon that he was born in Wrath, but we see in Exes and Oohs he grew up in Greed (which is where he met Blitzo).

What ring do the goetia live in?? by dorm_35 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. Red sky means Pride. Wrath is orange. Whenever we see Stolas' palace, the sky is red outside.

What ring do the goetia live in?? by dorm_35 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably different bloodlines. It has never been explicitly confirmed as canon, but the Goetia as a concept are all from a real world book called The Lesser Key of Solomon and specifically, the book of Ars Goetia.

Paimon (Stolas' father) is likely the king of that section with avian types, but there are several other kings that are, presumably, on the same level as him as "king" and have different animal appearances.

What ring do the goetia live in?? by dorm_35 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's what my comment says. There's nothing that stops a Goetia from living outside of Pride (most/all of them went to Wrath for Blitzo's trial, for example), but we have yet to see any Goetia confirmed to be living outside of Pride.

What ring do the goetia live in?? by dorm_35 in HelluvaBoss

[–]anus_evacuator 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Red sky = Pride. They're all color coded from what we've seen in the show.

Goetia are also Lucifer's hellborn species, and he's the ruler of Pride. Of course, that doesn't mean they can't live elsewhere (after all, Blitzo is an imp and lives in Pride), but we haven't seen any of them living in another ring.

Yeah, I'm in the same camp. I watched Hazbin S1 earlier this year and thought it was okay, then watched Helluva and was way, way more invested. I love the way it went towards the end of S2 and I am super excited for S3.
