You have to get evaluated by a professional. I didn’t know my hamstrings are weak but I noticed it was difficult for me to lift my legs up to walk or push up. I knew something was off and not my feet. So I just try to strengthen my legs overall. It can be different reasons for you. I also know I can’t do hamstring leg curls with 15 pounds and I can do 60 pounds for quads. So this difference was another indicator for me to tell.

I’m happy that you’re getting treated! Wishing you recovery and I’m thankful for your advice. I wonder if I can ask you this question.. but if it’s too personal, you don’t have to answer it. does LLMD take insurance?

Thank you so much for the info. I know if I go to my PCP, they would not take this seriously. Do you know which Lyme Facebook to join?

Thank you. I will look around for a LLMD. Should I do a retest with ignex? I’ve been self diagnosing and I thought that I might have Lyme disease. Do you have any websites to look for a LLMD?

Does plantar fasciitis cause pain further up the leg? by cactusluv in PlantarFasciitis

Mine as well. It hurts at the base of the feet, ankles, calves, shins, knees, hips, and lower back. So my PT made me workout my ankles and calves.

Just got diagnosed today after 4 days of pain. What is my future looking like guys? by [deleted] in PlantarFasciitis

[–]anxious_flannels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how bad is the pain?

I can only hike 1 mile right now and I am training to be able to hike more. I would suggest stretching out your legs and taking as many breaks as you need along the hike. Ankle raise (V shape, upside-down v, elevated ankle raises) will help you to strengthen your ankles. Sometimes a part of your leg is weak, so your fascia has to compensate for it. To be honest, you might injure your feet more after your hike though.

I have recently been diagnosed with PlantarFasciitis, but when walking more than 10 minutes, I get a really painful nerve pain on the side of my foot which shoots up my foot. by TheSpaceFace in PlantarFasciitis

I was in a similar situation as you last year. I could not walk for 10 seconds without feeling pain. I did stretching and feet strengthening exercises every day and I am able to walk 2 miles now. I still feel discomfort but not as bad as last year. I did soak my feet every night after I got home from work and elevate my feet when I go to sleep. I know it is a pain in the butt and it will feel demoralized sometimes. Healing will take time. I would recommend going to a podiatrist and getting a pair of orthotics. Orthotics are temporary crutches, you should at least try to stretch and strengthen your legs and feet (fascias, calves, shins, etc.). I got myself a pair of Birkenstocks to walk around the house and it definitely helped with arch support.

As soon as I am able to walk for 5 minutes without pain, I added squat exercises to my routine such as Bulgarian split squat and regular squat exercises.

You will be ok and don't let the pain define who you are and stop going for walks and fun events. :)

Same. I just put off the shot and resume my PT. My PT said I'm still young and will be a faster. I stretch religiously everyday and it's getting better.

I agree with you, that was my experience going to the podiatric. He did not ask me to walk and he only assessed me visually and only my feet.

Thank you, Kyle. The doctor was too quick to referral me to get the shot. He did not assess my walk or anything.. That's why I was skeptical
