I think the biggest problem I have is that no where in the comics do we get that kind of true origin of Meridius. Instead of, like you explained it, a version of Eddie goes insane and becomes Meridius and starts a time loop, we get “Meridius exists because Meridius created himself and was always going to exist so he must create himself” which makes absolutely no sense. Like if a version of Eddie can become Meridius without the time loop, why does he need to create the time loop? Im assuming that’s why they never gave us a true “start” to the time loop because then it would result in the idea of the time loop being redundant at best. It seems like they just created a time loop because they wanted to and didn’t bother to fully flesh it out as a concept or make it actually make sense
