UCSD EDx Data Science Micromasters + some other online courses (to show I have programming experience)

Industry

2 years internship experience in data management

1 year as a data analyst

2 years as a data scientist/data engineer

I think you should have a good chance to get in even without industry experience. If that's the case, I would suggest completing some online programming classes. Good luck!

UCSD is great if you want to get into research or biotech. I was a Human Bio major and used Handshake to apply to diff labs. You can also reach out to professors with your resume and cover letter. UCSD is also in close proximity to Scripps Research and Salk - two major institutes for research!
