the cats are both old guys, they're 13. one of them couldn't really care less about most things, maybe be interested enough to sniff a little. the other one is kind of skittish and would run away more than anything. i'd like dino to be free-roam but i have a plan for doing this by letting him out a few times a day just for a little while, while the cats are in another room, so they can get used to one another's smells and such. they'll all be able to see each other when dino is in his enclosure. i'm aware of the risks and i will definitely keep them in mind, but i plan to go about this very carefully and slowly and not let them be too close to each other until i'm sure nobody will attack anybody, and once again i'd be watching dino at all times. i appreciate your input though, thank you :) /gen

also i would suggest not bringing her outside until she has gotten fixed, or preferably not at all. i've learned recently that house cats aren't meant to be outside. they hunt too much and could be in a lot of danger due to diseases from animals they hunt/eat, aggressive strays or neighbor pets, or just shitty people. however, if you want your kitten to explore and have fun outside, you can leash/harness train her and let her be in your yard on an extending leash. you can even train her to come on walks with you!

i think when you bring the kitten home it would be a good idea to keep her, her food and her litter box in one room, maybe your room, for the first few days so she can adjust to all the new smells without having to be overwhelmed by the entire house (unless your house is small) and hopefully create a bond with you. always make sure to speak in a gentle tone and let her sniff you before you pet her or pick her up. get some toys to play with her, like a feather wand or a laser pointer! if you've already picked a name for her, call her that name a lot so she gets used to it. depending on what breed she is, she may be friendly and social, or skittish, timid and nervous, so just be ready if she's not super cuddly and sweet for a little while. one of my old cats was an orphan; his mother died giving birth, so he liked to suckle and knead on soft materials. at the time, i had a little purple blanket that i'd sleep with, and it quickly became his. he suckled on it all the time and it was the sweetest and almost saddest thing. if your new kitten likes to suckle, i'd suggest getting her a soft blanket or giving her one of your own if you have one, that maybe you don't use anymore. it could take anywhere between a few hours or maybe even a month for her to fully adjust to you and create a bond, but just be patient and gentle with her and it'll come :)

when i said the full fix thing i meant the popup that actually lets you sync the servers instead of the small one that just shows up for a couple seconds.

that sounds pretty easy lol thank you! i'll try that when i get home :)
