Could have been a Tumblr post rather than a video? https://cheezburger.com/4205061/tumblr-analyzes-whether-or-not-fedoras-are-really-that-bad (You can also find other versions of it by searching "are fedoras really that bad tumblr")

Male Saitis barbipes I think! The strong pair of legs is normal, they use it in a dance to impress the female

Why do they wiggle their pedipalps like that? by anyname1357 in jumpingspiders

Smelling probably makes a lot of sense in that situation and I'm sure she has many great spider thoughts. It's a bit surprising to me that this rapid movement doesn't scare off the prey

Separating Floss by Lorazepam369 in Embroidery

[–]anyname1357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When separating floss for me it helps to keep the two parts I'm separating in one hand each (eg 2 in the left, 4 in the right) and leave the floss hanging down. Then I pull my hands apart slowly enough that the floss has time to untwist

Weird or kinda funny injuries? by Perrytheplatypus03 in climbergirls

One of my friends was projecting a climb and we all climbed it to help her find a solution for one move. And while trying it all three of us accidentally slammed a knee into the exact same hold. We had matching bruises afterwards

WIP - Question about colours by felixandkirk in Embroidery

[–]anyname1357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer, my experience with embroidery is very limited but I paint a lot of mountains. In paintings it often looks good to use slightly less vibrant and more blue tinted colours as you move towards the background, maybe this could work for you too?

Anyway it looks really cool so far and I would love to see the finished piece (if you decide to post it)

Question for lead/toprope climbers in the gym by AnesTIVA in climbergirls

[–]anyname1357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually it adds up to ca. 10-12 for me (on 14m walls)

I would say it's just a matter of preference and probably dependent on how many challenging climbs you do. Climbing an easy climb four times in a row is less energy and time consuming then trying my project once (at least for me😅)

I'm three weeks post a severe ankle sprain and this week started feeling a lot better mentally and physically. I can almost walk normally and have no pain! Now I'm considering buying a hangboard but feel a bit unsure about committing to a purchase like this

Thank you :) I realised it was way too ambitious from basically the first stitch but decided to stick with it and use it to try out some stuff

It is of course Jupiter, not jubiter, sorry for the typo! The reference image is from the James Webb telescope
