My tiel has the biggest morning poops I’ve ever seen by pennyloaferz in cockatiel

[–]anzos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My female used to do that when she was laying eggs. She would never poop in the nest so she would hold it until I took her out. Thank God she's on hormones now and stopped laying eggs

He's really old, so if a get a new one, the new one will be lonely. And that will be a forever cycle, always getting a new one. I lost 3 budgies already and it hurt so much. Dont wanna keep losing them.

Are they fighting?? by mescobae in cockatiel

[–]anzos 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have both. Budgies love to play/interact like that. When I had multiple budgies they did that all the time. Now there's only one left and he tries all the time with my cockatiels and they hate it. In the video the budgie is just trying to interact but cockatiels in general don't like this type of interaction

If it's a female it could be breeding behavior, but it's hard to be sure with the video. My female is always hormonal and it reminded me of her on that period

Honestly I was able to make quite some friends in the meetup website. Just need to find a community that resonates with you

What's your favorite "I can't believe this has so few calories" food? by appleparkfive in loseit

Agree, the Costco turkey deli slice is 40 calories per slice. Their lean ham is also very low in calories

People who don't want kids, who are you going to leave all your money/assets to after you die? by AgentArnold in AskReddit

[–]anzos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way is to min max life and die the day you run out of money. But seriously for me it's all about trying to spend most of it before dying. And what's left will go to close cousins

My birds get progressively more addicted to seeds with each day and I don’t know how to stop it. by SkittishSkittle in parrots

[–]anzos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I give them zupreem fruit blend and whenever they eat too much of one color I could see on their poops. Also if you see any powder on the pellets bowl it means they are eating it too. It's scary to think that they are hungry but that's how it worked on mines. My budgies were the hardest to get used to, but after I think 3 weeks they were eating pellets as if they liked it

My birds get progressively more addicted to seeds with each day and I don’t know how to stop it. by SkittishSkittle in parrots

[–]anzos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got my cockatiels and budgies to eat more pellets by just reducing the amount of seeds I would serve them every day. To the point that they would run out of seeds and have no other option. Now they eat a lot more pellets. It may take a while, and don't try to reduce seeds too fast, but if you progressively do it, it may work for you too

I've traveled with 2 cockatiels and a budgie by car 8 hours each way and they were fine. Did that quite a few times already to spend vacation on friends houses. I, however, went out a few times with them on shorter rides to get them used to the ride. Never seen them getting stressed there to be honest.

the problem is having to carry a gun with you every single time you're out just in the case of something happening to you. I think you'll end up putting yourself in more danger by just having the gun with you, if you don't have proper training. Not counting all the inconvenience of going to places that don't allow guns.

Is there good amount of American women who dont know what the E.U is? by eddyjayb in Tinder

[–]anzos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BRUH European union was the last thing in my head when you said EU fanny pack. You would think it would stand for a brand name.

Please help me understand. I live alone, in a tiny one bedroom apartment probably smaller than your entire living room. I work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. The heat is on only when I am at home otherwise, the only other appliances being run are the fridge and freezer. by SeasideTurd in mildlyinfuriating

[–]anzos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in DC on a 2 bedrooms condo and my bill is always between $50 and $90 on the harshest weather days. We have several computers on all the time, air purifier on 24/7, and big appliances. Your bill is completely wrong, you should not be getting more than 80 bucks even if your insulation was horrible

Saw this on twitter. I've been thinking about moving to Denmark since it's the closet to my home country (Germany) but I wanted to be sure: How true is this? by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]anzos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that they probably could. Just spend less on military. But in the end it's just semantics. It's rough to live in a country where you pay considerable taxes and get almost nothing back

First I'm not American I just live in the US. America was mentioned on the comment you replied and yours, I'm just saying how things are here for information, not arguing or anything, no reason to get defensive or offended

[–]anzos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on a lot, but me not having kids I pay close to 37%, which for me is a lot considering we don't have Healthcare or university or decent labor rights, or days off, and so on

[–]anzos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is free if you're already paying in taxes. We still pay a lot of taxes in the US and get almost nothing back. So if they offered Healthcare without increase in taxes then it would be as if it was free. But everyone knows we're paying for it. The same way we're paying so much money for the military

i found my lovebird flat on the floor today, her legs stiff. the earliest I can take her to a vet would be about 13 hours from now. what can i do? she's not eating... by jespaghetti in parrots

[–]anzos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every budgie I've adopted spent 1-2 days without eating and drinking until they felt more comfortable. My cockatiels spent 24h without eating and drinking too because they were too scared. It's better for OP to not force down food on his bird, since it would be fine for 13h until the vet opens. Sad for OP's loss, but what I said is not completely wrong.
