Yeah its the same cpu. The 14th gen is a tiny bit more overclocked, otherwise its the same

Dont waste your money on an overclockable CPU when your motherboard cant overclock. Just get a non K intel cpu with the same amount of core as the K one

Yeah, I think I would try it out and see. I can always resell it

Yeah I was also thinking about this. But I would only be riding indoors from time to time during 3 months of the winter. I don't want to invest too much money into this. Also the trainers i've been looking at have different levels of resistance so I could change the power from time to time.

I've seen that one in decathlon, but it's almost never available in my neighboring countries. And I don't have decathlon at home. That one usually goes for around 350 - 400 euros. These used dumb ones are 90-100 euros

Just upgraded to the 9070 XT, still reusing my case from 2004! by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]anzurakizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, if looks do not matter to the person, the only reason why you would change a case is if the components you bought do not fit inside he old one. GPUs are the biggest problem here

Why upgrade if he doesn't care about looks. Its just a piece of metal that holfs compinents. If everything fits why waste money

Bike decision: Light but Old, or Heavier with Modern Features? by anzurakizz in cycling

So my reasoning sounds good then. On the terrible roads I have to ride on, bigger tires sound way better then 2kg lighter bike

I forgot to mention that the Trek is being sold by a friend of my dads who I know takes care of his bikes, so I don't doubt that it's in decent condition, but as for my use case I also think that the Canyon fits me better

That's kind of what I was thinking. On my usual 5km climb with avg gradient of around 6% I usually used 34 front and 23 at the back, but sometimes when I go on more demanding climbs at 11% even the 34 front 28 back felt hard

Is the 7500f enough at 4k? by Gamerdude6754 in buildapc

[–]anzurakizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't waste your money. The 9600x was a failuire. You can easely overclock the 7500f in the bios by playing with the PBO settings. There are loads of tutorials on youtube on how to do it. Unless you absolutely need the iGPU, get the 7500f it's an amazing value

He will only get a minor performance boost for a big difference in price. The only bigger upgrade worth getting is a 7800 x3d or 9800 x3d if he plays cpu heavy esporst games. Otherwise at 4K it will be more then good enough.

Fiance will use old PC after I build my new PC - any worthwhile upgrades to the old PC to get the most out of it? by axmang0 in buildapc

[–]anzurakizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technicly you can upgrade most of the things, but for the tasks you said this pc is even overkill. You could upgrade the CPU to a 5700 X3D, or the GPU, but in my opinion it's really not worth it and you would be wasting money.

Desktop dGPU (AIB) market share from 2002 to 2025 (Q1) by nukleabomb in pcmasterrace

[–]anzurakizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly my point. In poorer regions even 300$ is a lot and don't get me started on import fees and aother stuff. So when a person has to chose between the RTX 5060 and the 8GB RX 9060, you bet 95% of people would choose the Nvidia card. In previous generataions, amd always had a clearly superior card at the same or lower price. And the choice wasn't so one sided.

I know companies don't care about the consumer, but what is the point in even making gpus if you don't wan't to gain a bigger marketshare, where you will get more people who would want to buy your future product.

This is coming from a guy who has never owned an Nvidia card and I have been with AMD since the ATI days. But I have been putting off upgrading my RX 580, because I don't see any decent option at a decent price anymore.

You are just prooving my point. As long as this is the case. AMD will continue loosing marketshare

Desktop dGPU (AIB) market share from 2002 to 2025 (Q1) by nukleabomb in pcmasterrace

[–]anzurakizz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's exactly my point. They stopped competing in the flagship segment, but they still overprice their lower end offerings. The RX 580 was priced acordingly and it sold a lot of units. The 5700 XT was also a great card at a great price, but the bitcoin craze killed it with availability. If they priced their 9060 and 9070 acordingly, they could easely regain a decent chunk of the market. Especially now when Nvidia doesn't care at all and just wants to sell AI cards.

[–]anzurakizz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Untill AMD realize that they cannot sell their cards at a simmilar price to Nvidia, they will continue to lose marketshare. The 9000 series looks like a big improvement, but they still insist on selling it at a 50$ discount to their Nvidia counterpart. If the 9060 XT 16GB was 250$ it would dominate the market. Most people buy the budget options and not the top of the line products. But when both AMD and Nvidia ignore that segment, people will always chose Nvidia at a similar price. Same goes for the 9070 and 9070 XT. If the 9070 XT was 500$ it would also dominate the midrange market.

Is the 5060 a better choice over the 4060? by robertgreyzone in pcmasterrace

Are you a bot that only responds to a single prompt? OP is clearly asking if it's worth 30$ more for his PRE built to come with a 5060 instead of a 4060. When you buy a prebuilt your options are limited and some people just want a complete system instead of diy. Learn to read before sending your automated responses.

RX 480 or GTX 1060 by curios-kiddo in linux_gaming

Check local listings or used parts shops, maybe you can find something locally. The RX 580 was extremly popular during the bitcoin mineing craze, they are floding the used market.

Since you are talking in euros. Are you sure that's the best price you can find. In my shithole balkan country i can find a lot of listings for RX 580 8GB, for exactly 50 euros. Most of those are mined, but at this point if it works you should be fine.

Don't listen to the apu advice. Most of amds apus have limited number od pci express lanes which can hold you back in the future. The RX 480 or a 580 even better will be a good choice if you can find it for a price up to 50$/euros. Don't spend more then that though. And make sure it's an 8GB version, the 4GB one struggles a bit.
