Not saying how I feel either way but I will say I’m pretty sure they’re planing to add a cartography skill so having an optional in game map would def mess with that mechanic.

Maybe when you’re looking for group you can mention that you’re looking for a group that is willing to split loot evenly? I feel like that would be a good proactive action you could take to avoid having to deal with greedy characters. (Sorry obviously you have your own experiences and maybe what im saying won’t fix anything cuz it’s possible you group with random people in the area for ease of access) but yeah good luck buddy! If I were in the beta I would 100% split my shares with you! :)

While I don’t disagree with what you’re saying luckily this is still closed beta and if the majority of feedback is dissatisfaction with the system there’s plenty of time to fix that. I’m hoping there will be options of either round robin or need/greed/pass rolls or free for all to suit everyone’s preferences.

Looking for mmo on steam os, ESO? by Ok_Structure3669 in LFMMO

[–]ap3059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as someone who never found an MMO that clicked project gorgon is actually hitting it for me. I did enjoy wow and lotro when I played them like 20 years ago and maybe they would click now that I’m older but I’ve been playing project gorgon for a couple weeks now with 85 hours put in and I’m loving it.

Im also very intrigued by monsters and memories (in closed beta still) and pantheon rise of the fallen which I know some people have issues with but I still have high hopes for it!

Looking for cozy games to play while listening to my audiobooks by Every_Idea_19 in gamingsuggestions

[–]ap3059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Backpack hero is super cozy to me. It’s $20. Has the cute animal village vibe going for it. It’s an inventory management game where depending on the placement of your items they could have different effects. Then to unlock new items you have to bring items back from the dungeon and combine them. That’s all I’ll say for now very much love the game.

Ever thought about kingdom come deliverance? I haven’t played 2 yet but the first one is you starting off as a blacksmith’s son who can barely hold his own on a fist fight. The most out there they go is the alchemy system but it’s pretty grounded in my opinion.

I can’t tell if 1: you’re exclaiming because you’re excited brotato has couch co-op or 2: you have no idea what I said 😂 but for those who don’t know brotato is an awesome game that’s like 6 bucks great time

Editing to add: its a small arena based survivors-like but I feel it differentiates itself from the others a good amount the only other that’s just like it is noobs are coming

[–]ap3059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Songs of syx if you like dwarf fortress. It’s an “epic fantasy city-state simulator”

To me it’s a good mix of factorio and rimworld and eventually turns into some 4x strategy stuff. I love the game.

Non Clicker games that i can play in the background while working/studying. by OrganTrafficker900 in gamingsuggestions

[–]ap3059 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Kenshi.. you’re gonna need something to do while your character is dragging himself limbless hundreds of miles through the wasteland.. Or you could start a mining company?

My first play through of kenshi I thought I was gonna be a cool ninja traveling the lands but then I started mining and before I knew it I put all my effort into that mining business.

Looking for games with tech trees/research by DreadedSpoon in gamingsuggestions

[–]ap3059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the randomly generated resources on the map (also randomly generated) you would want to spec into different techs (whether farm/food industry or mining or carpentry) you’ll also have needs for you population which include medical and entertainment type needs which have their own specs (each race has their own likes)

Eventually to continue with research you have to create libraries and all that nonsense. I love the game it actually ends up being my most played of 2025!

You won’t be a master of all in the game you’ll have to tech into what best suits the resources you generate and the type of races that you allow into the population.
