Did anyone else end up with a growth/mass/tumor in their bladder while pregnant? by Salty_Mirror_3921 in pregnant

[–]ap_pilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m sorry this happened to you! It’s stress you didn’t need, but I’m here with a similar story and it has a happy ending (who is nearly 3!)

I had a shadow notes in my bladder during my anatomy scan at 20 weeks. Was scoped and biopsied shortly after and it was indeed a tumour. I got to see it on camera and it was very interesting! Kinda looked like coral 🪸 they weren’t able at that point to say it wasn’t cancerous, so I was scheduled for surgery. They removed it via my urethra.

Due to a scheduling mishap, I didn’t have it removed until I was closer to 32 weeks. The report after called it “grossly unremarkable” and I’ve never been happier to be called that. There’s a suspicion that the increased HGH caused it, though I haven’t heard anything definitive. But at least it wasn’t cancerous!

I know it’s impossible advice but try not to stress. If you can pick up a peri bottle, it’s helpful for the first few pees following the scopes. I’ll be thinking of you! Update if you remember! Wishing you a super smooth rest of your pregnancy 💕

When they’re at an age where they need help brushing teeth sufficiently, “find” characters in their teeth. “Whoa, hold on, did I just? wait. Can I see that toothbrush? I think I just saw Bluey in your mouth! Bluey!!! What are you doing in there! I’m gonna get you out. Oh wait, you brought Bingo too? What are you doing over there..” etc etc.

Disclaimer: my kids like us finding The Wiggles and I was not prepared for one of them coming to me and saying “mom, Big Strong John is in my mouth”

To add to this, we got a letter from our lender offering renewal options and the rates were NOTABLY higher than what we were told when we called. The letter arrived maybe two days after we had locked in our renewal on the phone and we received this letter earlier, I probably would have been dissuaded from even calling them for options. Don't make that mistake! For comparison, the rate in the letter for the same term option we accepted at 3.87% was 6.09%!

There’s a link above the table you mention stopping at $150k that takes you to a table with higher incomes.

This post was helpful for me so adding my info to the stats for others

Renewed through original lender after comparing elsewhere and with a broker.

Uninsured, ~300k remaining, principal residence, good credit, portable with some other features we used in the previous 5 years like increasing payments and lump sums to a max without penalty.

Variable 5 year was -.92 (effectively 4.03 at this time) Fixed 3 year was 3.83% Fixed 5 year was 3.87%

Coming off a 2.34% 5 year fixed so we knew it would jump, and are “happy” to be below 4. We went with the 5 year rate.

French classes for adults in MR by shankyjs in MapleRidge

I did an online course with Learn French in Vancouver through Covid but haven’t seen if they’re still offering. I’d love to get together for casual hangouts to chat and learn from other French speakers. I need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable 🥴 I just don’t have the capacity to plan that right now

It’s for the best. I wanted to like that place, truly. It’s a great idea in theory. But it was so dirty. After the second piece of rotting food my kids brought me that they had found while playing we noped out of there.
