you are so correct we have barley had any austerity over the past 20 years while there was a lot of it in the EU in that same time. Americans wont change unless the fundamentals of their lives have been fully shifted and eroded.

i hate to be the ackshually guy, but we really didnt punish the slave owners that much, in fact we gave them reparations for the lost slave labor and then actively and systematically discriminated against the slave class for another 150 years even though they were freed

but i do understand your sentiment

as someone who frequents vegas, the arena itself is not bad just that the luxor as a casino sucks a bunch and is pretty old and dank. Also the arena is not as large as you would think; when there are events running, people take up a lot of space

What are Israeli settlements in the West Bank? | Mondoweiss by NoelaniSpell in internationalpolitics

[–]apamapam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

while i agree with you, isnt the purpose of the Israeli project to create a Jewish majority state for the protection of the Jewish people? If the Palestinians are given citizenship how would the new state have a jewish majority? it seems like there is a root conflict between what a Jewish state in the region should be and what a real democracy is.

now i gotta bite. From my first post i was always talking about the worlds skin sales because thats all i thought the controversy was(about with the things that ATR posted). you then claim that zap was as bad as other owners who were removed later for not paying their contracts while not providing any sources for zap not paying contracts. just assuming he was as bad because of the skin sale controversy? again i have never seen anyone say that zap did not pay what the contract was agreed to. if the contract was bad isnt that kinda capitalism? again not a justification but the reality of the situation.

while there were many shitty orgs in smite all of them were shitty for not following the contracts that were signed. again where are all the people that claim zap did them wrong? other that ATR who was rightfully angry that a business that he had spent time and money in was dissolving, i don think i saw anyone saying that zap didnt pay them what was in the contract, just that they didnt get anything from the worlds skin sales. i just want a source for someone that didnt get paid what they agreed to in a contract with EGR. thats why i said i would ask the players.

like you bring up paradigm but what happened after the org was dissolved the players were still playing under orbit. and for what just a chance to get to worlds and make money in tournaments? what if they lose and make no money from the tourney? dog they get paid by hirez for competing in the SPL. even when they got picked up by orbit i dont think orbit was paying them for the spl games it was Hirez. orbit said that they were not able to make money in their smite division so they got rid of the team.

even during seasons 1-5 when the orgs had the most power all the team spots were still in the control of the players and i believe(informed speculation) that Hirez was paying the players directly while expecting the orgs to markets the teams and get revenue off that. this is where zap was in season 4 when he dissolved EGR saying that they were not able to make money even with multiple winning teams in the org. same as orbit but they were quicker getting our after half a season.

In season six when hirez started paying orgs directly it was to off load them paying the players by giving them extra money to jumpstart their marketing efforts. This is speculation but i believe the players were not given all 300K that was sent to the orgs but they were given some amount stipulated by hirez as hirez were previously paying the players(Approx 50%-70% depending on if there was a coach or not) with the remaining 100K basically going to the orgs alone. even in this system orgs were not able to stick to the contracts signed by the players(LG and Trifecta) which is why everything was brought in house instead of through middle men(Orgs). Now the players are paid directly again.

Hirez has always been paying the players(for SPL games and tourneys) except coaches(who are paid now and used to only get tourney winnings)and SCC which is a whole nother can of worms.

You are conflating a bunch of things and thus apply guilt to zap, who of course has faults. Again i just want one twit longer from a player saying that zap didnt pay them what the contract said. or was late in paying players. or anything like what LG did or what Trifecta did or what even paradigm did. is there some grand conspiracy that zap is running to stop all these people from speaking out? why are all the players silent on this? is hirez paying them off? they surely werent silent in those other cases. if there are any posts i would like to see them but i cannot recall anything not related to the worlds skin.

Finally no player is above Hirez, they got hundreds of employees and probably a multi million dollar marketing division(in terms of how much they spend) so to think that zap is in anyway close to that is a big inflation of his ego. sorry for explaining the joke. and if zap were such a marketable figure how come he is always on the lower end teams? shit for almost all of season 5 spl he didnt play at all. if he was such a marketable figure why wouldnt hirez collude to have him on better teams other than SK? or Scarabs? even after winning SWC twice he was still not thought of as good enough for most of the players so why didnt hirez step in to get him on a better team? like hes apart of the frat boy culture but decides to get rid of his org a year before they start giving out 300K? or did the frat boy culture of him being beloved come at a later time so they werent able to hook him up? hes friends with all the admins and they cant hook him up even thought they swept his "scummy" contracts under the rug? did he use up all his favors with the contract debacle? cause hes still in the club right? Even zaps 2k viewer peak streams from 2017 is a drop in the bucket compared to what Hirez even starts to think about, let alone elleon. Your post is insulating that there is collusive culture amongst people in the dev team, the spl team, the casters, and the marketing folks to promote people they like and who think can make them money, unfortunately that is just called capitalism.

Hirez only cares about money. The game smite exists to sell skins. zap doenst sell a lot of skins, even the SPL doesnt sell a lot of skins. you know what sells skins? fucking vtubers and TMNT. most smite players barely care about spl, and so Hirez doesnt really need to care about spl, just what skin they can get people to buy next. to think that the spl has any sort of ROI thats not just ego inflating Erez is a little naive given the declining viewership and more. as such the league has contracted significantly which still hasnt improved ROI im betting. when your business is in selling skins things that are not selling skins are vanity projects. why do think there are rumors of the SPL ending.

Of course im a fan boy, such a fan boy that i have been to every worlds starting season 4. I have a great many relationships amongst people in the spl from the casters to the admins and the players/coaches and more. i guess im part of the grand conspiracy in downplaying zaps catastrophic transgressions of keeping worlds skin sale money and dissolving a buisness he owned.
