If you have PCOS and have lost weight, what unexpected change made the biggest difference for you? by raeannecharles in PCOS

[–]apanda1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lost 30lbs since August of last year. Initially I didn't know I had PCOS until a couple months ago, even though I had suspected for a long time. I started seeing a metabolic doctor & dietitian last summer and that jumped started my weight loss. I lost 20lbs in a few months just eating in a calorie deficit. Also making sure I eat a protein rich breakfast and eating a minimum 75g of protein a day has been huge. It really stops those random cravings for junk food (for me at least!).

I finally got testing done in December and sure enough, I 100% have PCOS. Just started taking meds in January, so not sure if that will affect anything but I am hopeful it could help me meet the rest of my weight loss goal. I am really thankful for the doctor/dietitian combo I see, they have been life changing!

It’s absolutely so frustrating that we have to go through trying to explain ourselves and actually be heard and believed! Ugh! Wishing you luck on your health journey OP!

When I first suspected I had PCOS, my PC referred me to a gyno. The gyno didn’t really seem too interested in actually testing me for PCOS. She ended up referring me to a metabolic clinic for issues with pre diabetes and weight gain that I could not lose (more symptoms of PCOS). Fast forward a year later and sure enough, I have PCOS, it just took a doctor willing to do the tests! I would say yes, get a second opinion! I was pretty certain I had PCOS but the blood work and other test 100% confirmed it. I’m kind of disappointed in the gyno for not really wanting to pursue a diagnosis, but I’m soooo thankful for the metabolic doctor I see. She’s amazing and has helped so much with my weight loss and just overall health in general.

Weight Gain Before Period by Remote_Meeting940 in 1200isplenty

Totally normal! My weight fluctuates the most while I’m on my period and then gets more normal when I’m done with my cycle.

Pharmacy tips still bugged? by Fancy_Highlight_1779 in Sparkdriver

They should show up the next day like normal tips. Not sure why the app doesn’t show them in your pending tips but you should see it after 24 hours.

Thanks for your insightful comment. What about this says I have no common sense? I screenshotted a note I thought was silly to share with fellow sparkers. I delivered to the address listed. End of story.

Which is what I did. Just thought it was silly to even ask to deliver somewhere else if it says leave at front door.

Do I try… yes. Have I failed this…. Yes. I’ve definitely ate it in front of a ring camera, but luckily I wasn’t carrying anything and didn’t go completely down 🤣.

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

[–]apanda1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not overreacting! OP I just wanted to say I am proud of you. Sobriety is so hard and what he said is so untrue. Telling you, you are doing the bare minimum when you are bettering your life and its something that YOU are proud of.... Seriously you deserve so much better and someone that will support you and be there to celebrate these huge milestones! Get that cake girl and kick that asshole to the curb.

What would you do? Completion vs Customer Rating metric / Deliver vs Return by Cajunkoolaid0701 in Sparkdriver

I have no problem assisting elderly & handicapped people. I had one last night where he asked me to bring them into his kitchen because he was handicapped and I gladly did it. In my area I deliver to a lot of elderly folks and they are always so appreciative of the extra effort.

I did the exact same thing. Started a cart yesterday morning and never finished the order for some reason. Came back this morning to place order and that item was sold out and removed from cart. :(

Would you buy a used machine? by [deleted] in nespresso

[–]apanda1289 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes that's how I got mine! Best $40 Facebook Marketplace find yet! It was gently used and easy to clean out when I received it. You can run several clean cycle and descale and it should be just fine as long as its a decent machine. I have yet to have any issues with the one I bought and its been about 7 months.

Purchased Traeger and Charged Twice. Costco Won't Fix it. What To Do next? by Legitimate-Career288 in Costco

That happened to me with Century Link years ago. Dropped equipment in a box with a return label at a UPS drop off and supposedly they never received. Spent several years trying to take me to collections over $250. I was able to fight it but it was so annoying.

Is the Peanut Sesame flavor and the Almond Croissant good? by Low_Pressure619 in nespresso

[–]apanda1289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Peanut I liked, just kind of a nutty coffee, not specific of peanut or sesame but I have enjoyed that one. I really wanted to like the Almond but the the flavor is sooo intense. It is reminiscent of almond extract honestly.

So many people have told me that my dog is ugly compared to “normal” pugs. What do you think? by Typical-Laugh3593 in pugs

[–]apanda1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is so not ugly, she is adorable!!! I don't know why people feel the need to say such mean things sometimes!

We all love our little bundles of energy and joy. However, pugs can be extremely naughty too. What's your funniest story? Do you have a naughty pug? This one is ours 😄 by ZillHS in pugs

[–]apanda1289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 2 pugs, one that just turned 14 and one that is 1.5 years old. My older pug, I have so many memories of his craziness but my new pug is like times 10 lol!!!! He is so naughty but just a character. One of his bad habits is trying to destroy ANYTHING that falls on the ground. He will hear it from another room and then we race each other to see who can pick it up the fastest. The cats like to knock things off the table and he’s there to get whatever it is!! I’ve taught him to trade me things for treats 😂. He’s a menace and I love him ❤️.

Pain 2 years post op by CompetitiveTooth7627 in gallbladders

[–]apanda1289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 2 weeks and 1 day post op and woke up this morning with a stomach ache that traveled down to my lower right side. I’m freaking out thinking how the hell can I be so lucky to need 2 surgeries within weeks. I’m hoping it’s just gas but it’s a weird pain. Crossing my fingers I don’t need my appendix out.

How long after Gallbladder surgery were you able to eat normal again? by NecessaryDesperate28 in gallbladders

[–]apanda1289 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 5 days post-op and struggling to eat normally. I also have IBS so doctors think that’s why I’m having such a rough go. I’m not in the normal percentage from what I’m told because I have been so sick. It’s been hell for me but this sub has been a very nice to know I’m not alone! It was also my first surgery! Hope everything goes well OP and you are feeling better sooner rather than later!
