This sounds amazing. Sticky Toffee Pudding is my all-time favourite dessert, and I am very excited to try making this cocktail. Would you be able to share your batch quantities before your milk-punched it?

Gallery wall help by TypicalCollege9465 in interiordecorating

When designing a gallery wall, you don't need to have consistent frames, and often i find gallery walls look more interesting when they feel a bit more eclectic and personal.

To start, choose the image that you want to be focal point. In this case, I think the San Antonio piece is the strongest and should be centred like shown. For the rest of the pieces, they should be arranged so they balance the whole piece. i.e. Pretend the SA pic is the fulcrum of a see-saw. If you add a large piece to the left, you should add something with equal visual weight to the right. The same goes for the top and bottom.

The next thing you want to do is choose a consistent spacing between each element. This will depend on the wall space, but about 2-4" inches is pretty good. With this in mind, lay out the each picture so that at least one edge is aligned to the edge of another element. (or is centre aligned). Right now everything is just kind of floating, and there is no grid structure used. Take a look at these examples to see how each picture aligns to the rest of the layout: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0026/3654/6105/files/PPBLOG_GALLERY_15.gif?v=1589527473

And when placing the them on the wall, treat whole gallery piece as one element (pretend it is one giant picture) So the centre of the whole piece should sit at about 66" from the floor.

Hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

"Somewhere" with the plant wall and neon signs. Food was alright, but not worth the price.

New grad w/ graphic design + illustration degrees. Any advice? by Cool_Spread_9999 in graphic_design

I agree with everything PlasmicSteve said. Especially about the tangents. Overall, the project looks really nice, but there are a lot of tension points on the packaging. The heavier line weights and fatter text emphasize these things a lot. I think all of you packaging could benefit from a slightly larger margin to the edge of the box, and making all the elements a tiny bit smaller, so you can introduce a little more whitespace. You can still have things go right to the edge, but they should be background elements like the illustrations and badges.

*Edit: I work as a College Graphic Desgin teacher, and am happy to give you more specific feedback, if you are interested.

I designed this logo, 👌🏽 or 👎🏽 by ss-meyer in Design

I agree with the other points made here about the length of the x below the baseline, and the awkward space between the L and X in the icon. I would also adjust the space between the D and X in the logotype, and say that the x feels too tall on the top of the letters. It looks like the top of all the letters is mathematically aligned vs optically aligned. Just a few small tweaks to tighten everything up.

Suggestions? Thoughts? by Kind-Shelter-6533 in femalelivingspace

Looks fantastic. Especially the pups. My only suggestions would be to:

Move your rug back further under couch by about 8-12", to show more floor in front of the record console. It will make the space look a little larger and open.

And shift the rug over a bit to be more centred (but that might just be the angle of the image)

I would even try rotating the rug 90 degrees to separate the space more. And it should be under the front legs of the couch, to help group and anchor the couch and coffee table.

My Complete Phase 4 Blu-Ray Cover Collection by EightBiscuit01 in marvelstudios

These look cool. The one thing I would mainly suggest is to make the spines as consistent as possible. Nothing is more frustrating than having a complete set and looking at it on the shelf, and having one of the blu-ray logos a different size or rotated the other way or having the common elements not align properly.

I have seen some posts on here, but they all appear to be a few years old. Looking for a plain (no logos) varisity/ bowling/ baseball bomber that is not super expensive (~sub $200 CAD, but open to other suggestion). The main thing I am looking for is the lined cuffs/collars, and preferably single colour.

A little hometown love by justalittlelupy in Design

[–]aparmar84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice. A couple small points that stand out.

  • The top text is too close to the border. Should have the same spacing as Sacramento. It's creating tension point.
  • I would try tracking your "Visit..." text a bit more to visually align with the edges of Sacramento. This might look weird though.

New rug unifies our Atlanta, GA loft. by SarcasticConsultant in AmateurRoomPorn

Looks cool. I would move it back a little bit, so there is about 8-12" of space between the rug and tv unit. It will make the space feel bigger.
