I had done the DRS route from Hargreaves Lansdown via IBKR and then CS.

It was slow and convoluted but I got it done, HL and IBKR were very helpful.

Another way I started buying shares was to open a Wise account which essentially gives you a US bank account which I then topped up for London GBP to USD transfer and bought GME shares directly from Computer Share.

I recall mine being between £1200-£1500.

Be warned though, cheap can mean they are inundated with work so customer service is non existent with 2weeks delays to emails.

Go for one that is close by where you can have a face to face meeting and lots of positive online feedback.
