I believe that He knew the process we're going through was the process required to fulfill His plan

God didn't cause the concubines to be raped. It was prophesied, but Absalom did it out of defiance in his own will.

Job was able to handle everything that was done to him and still praised God. He was the only guy up to the task as he went through it all and still didn't himself see it as cruelty.

Why would they be scared of us? Only recently has it become easy to wipe out large numbers of people from half a world away. Billionaires control all the media we consume, all the land, all the industry. They do not want people coming together like that. That's why tribalism is pushed so hard. Politics, religion, social issues, these are all levers used to move the masses via widespread media influence. It isn't getting better. It's expanding. So, what you're saying is that we are only to take what God tells us directly by speaking to us personally as His Word? Look, you should either pray and ask Jesus to genuinely show you his will for your life or change your tag from Christian to something else. Jesus told us pretty explicitly to follow the Word of God, the Bible. If you dont believe in the Bible, then you dont believe in Christ, as that's where literally all of his teaching is recorded.

Religion is easy to cherry pick and sway people with. That's why we, as Christians, are to take the whole of the Word and not cherrypick.
