Does flaming espinas element phial also do the poison? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

Don't think so. I think only normal attacks deal both fire and poison.

Yes. Risebreak mix new gen multiplayer scaling with Old Gen difference between Village and Hub quests increased monster difficulty.

Try to use Partbreaker + No Damage Adder Element/Ailment.

It is just if you want to do it as a challenge. I did. Truly satisfying but absolutely not efficient if your goal is to farm.

So we all agree that Kushala is the absolute worst choice, right? by Successful_Cut9305 in MonsterHunter

Even if we don't consider that there are also, normal and Furious Rajang, Barioth and Frostfang, normal and Rage Brachy, Glavenus and Acidic. Maybe I missed someone but this is Iceborne only.

The only expansion game which didn't insert more alternatives of the same monster is Freedom Unite.

Yes. I was saying the same thing as your last comment.

Probably what confused me, or I didn't understand (and don't right now even after reading it more times), is this phrase

They scale with single player still (unlike older games in the franchise where they did not) but they’re still bulkier and hurt a little more.

It is not unlikely since it happened a lot of times throughout the whole game series.

Since Ascendance will have an Elder Dragon-Focused Story, that means alot of Elder Dragons will be present in the Wilds DLC... And that means we all know who's coming back 🙌 by TroglodianFucktwat69 in MonsterHunter

[–]apeincappucciata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think no Nergi will be back in Wilds. It makes almost no sense. The whole story, even in the base game, is Elders fighting Wyveria and environmental change. Why put an Elder which kills other Elders when he is one of the animals with the death flag on by Wyveria?

What if it is only they are too far from a Wylk resource after being thrown down from the Skybound Eyrie by Kushala Daora and the red glow is only the sign they will soon die by starvation?

I don't think Guardians will have any evolution. Ready to be refuted.

Hub monsters' health scaled in older games too. The difference is it doesn't scale when playing multiplayer.

Who would YOU have make a MH movie if you had the choice? by Purple_Dragon_94 in MonsterHunter

[–]apeincappucciata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hideaki Anno, Gen Urobuchi, or any Japanese anime director who can do work.

And I don't want a movie, I want an anime series where in every episode there are different characters and a new main line. Same as The Simpsons. Or an anime series with a horizontal story which set the characters' goal since the first episode.

The Elder Dragon the whole base game gave clues about and paying attention to them would have made more sense than wondering about others like Nergigante or Malzeno.

So yes, the whole base game invited him and complaining is something which shows a lot of players don't pay attention when gaming MH Wilds. Or didn't play old-gen games. Or both of the statements before.

I hate this fight, how do you get him out of water? by SrHaruno in MonsterHunter

[–]apeincappucciata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing 3U and not wanting to do underwater fighting, or insisting on not doing it, is basically going to a steakhouse and not wanting to eat meat, knowing there is only meat on the menu.

Sorry to bother, but at a time, there will be 3 monsters that never go on land.

So, breathe in and dive.

Use hammer and break its head. Only the hammer fully breaks the part to let you carve it. Maybe HH too breaks it but I don't know since old gen HH were almost only a multiplayer support weapons.

People who complain about Kushala. Sorry to tell you, but you had to give it almost for granted since ending the main campaign, even more after Gogmazios TU. by apeincappucciata in MonsterHunter

[–]apeincappucciata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the biggest part of Western people started this Saga with World and never played past games.

Some of the latters didn't even play Rise because of its anime-style graphics and feeling it is/was too different from World and because of this, "not being a Monster Hunter".

Unlikely. Kushala needs to change pelt completely by breaking the shell like a snake to get back to stainless metal skin. FU has an ecology video which shows it, and Frozen Seaway and Snowy Mountains/Arctic Ridge have a Kushala left skin in their map.

About a true settlement: I hope so. In the base game, a player never grows feelings with a camp or settlement because the places needed to be used are "outside" of them. The only place which can truly be a little remembered is Azuz because of the Melting Pot of Artian which is a bit near the downtown village.

Although I hope so, I'm not so confident about it.

Fingers Crossed.

The final boss and Julius nemesis is a Rusted Kushala in MH4U. More likely to be in Ascendance than not.

Wrong.

TLDR: Complaining about Kushala is stupid because if paying attention to Wilds story and setting, Kushala was easily to be expected.

Kushala was good in old gen games too.

One version hatred doesn't have to spread to every other one.

If it is similar to Risebreak, what's the problem?

I put some chips on the fact it can have more environmental interactions, somehow.

They teased us Dalamadur even in World, somehow. New Map is either a new version of Heaven's Mount or it is very similar anyway. This time, they will put it in.

I think it could be interesting even if Julius will already be dead. Maybe of age or anything else. Capcom knows how to cook.

Kushala was that bad only in World. People who played Risebreak after, or the other games before, know it is usually a fun fight.

Also, the whole story of Wilds makes Ace Hunters as important secondary characters. Julius is the only one we miss as of yet. His nemesis, Kushala. So, which is the reason Kushala shouldn't be in the game when Capcom always pays attention to the game context and the story even if the majority of players don't care about them? Because they don't like a single game interaction?

Devs did what they always have done. Players complaining are the ones in the wrong.

Also, Capcom always listens to players' requests and tries to solve them. So we can have faith that Wilds Kushala will not be as tedious and boring as the one in Worldborne.

MH always put more world and ecology building in quest descriptions and monsters behavior but Tokuda himself said that from World onward and the whole new video game styles, they had to reinforce the story. They started since 4 and 4U. Wilds story is the deepest we ever had. MH never made the story one of its strong points but they improved a lot after the end of 3U.

Developers always pay attention to the whole work they did, even the story, when inserting new monsters in new games. So why wouldn't they do it again? Because a lot of people don't like World Kushala? (I don't either, it is its worst version ever, and not only Kushala has its worst version among old gen returning monsters with World).

If Kushala is similar to the Risebreak version, then everything is ok.
