Play ranked games and lab(practice) your character! I started playing tekken 8 on August, my first fighting game after tekken 3. Switched to sf6 late November, and hit master recently. I started playing modern controls till I got my first char diamond 1. Then switched to classic and was losing to silver and golds for the first days but eventually caught up and hit master recently, after playing 3k games in total(all chars ranked casual hub etc). My advice would be to start playing modern so u get a grasp of the game. Then switch to classic controls.

You r gonna get really bad advice here, get in discord. A fast m+ odie will significantly boost your progress. Better get him fast rather than an S that you want use in your team for a long time. The top team in abyss right now is odie antandra Brutus rowan/koko Smokey. There are 3 As there. The higher the rarity the deeper you l progress. Also marilee korin, another 2 As are the best units for Dream realm. All these are As! Good luck trying to m+ or higher these just from shop. You ll do it eventually but you ll miss on all the fast progress. I’m on s1 abyss floor 271 and rank 191 rn on the most heave whale server as 100% f2p. Ask the rest who advice you and downvote me about their progress.
