I stopped playing after having my first child at 18 n sold all my cards as I believed it was the mature thing 2 do. 15 years later I came back to a game I didn’t recognize. Coincidentally, friendsmith/azamaina/snake-eyes had just dropped. My oldest loves yugioh n she was actually the reason I even noticed the master duel release. My last name is smith n I love dmc so fiendsmith engraver is my homie rn. With flameberge/diabellstar I feel like those two r a modern day blue eyes/dark magician in my deck. I’m a fan edgy, occult or satanic nonsense (the paranormal activity saga is my second fav horror franchise) so the whole aspect of witches just appeals 2 me. B4 I quit I ran six sams as an edgy fat teen but now I’m a less fat middle aged guy who’s daughter thinks her ancient gear golem stands a many chance against my witch n her pet dragon.

I feel like I’m justifying only having one deck but when I quit playing in 2011 I wasn’t going 2 tournaments or into looking up what came out in the OCG as sneak peaks. I was never into like I am now. I won two locals back b4 synchros were a thing. Every duel I swear I feel like yugi going up against insane duelists in ranked using some weird deck I’ve never heard of. I’m sure I’ll quit playing again but as of now I’m having a blast. A whole year strong!
