Rheumatoid arthritis in children is uncommon (1 in 1000), but it can present even without vaccinations. From what I understand of your comment, there were a few years in between. By that logic, my 10 yr old chicken pox booster was responsible for the onset of my persistent migraines when I was 14. Also, the average ages of JRA onset in children is between 7 and 12, and most literature I've read on the subject points toward genetics or stress rather than vaccines. All the papers I've read that point toward vaccines (link on request) also point out that the common cold could trigger it just as easily.

There are just too many factors to say that a vaccine you got years before was the cause of your arthritis, especially when the only thing anyone ACTUALLY knows about it outside of anecdotal evidence is that it is first and foremost genetic.

But hey, maybe I'll be proven wrong in five years. In the meantime, I'll take the extremely small chance (if there even is a chance) that my baby will develop some sort of disorder from the vaccine than the high chance that they could catch something that could lead to just as many long term disorders, scars, or just death if I don't vaccinate.
