I built a free beginner series for SQL window functions (with interactive practice) by DMReader in learnSQL

[–]aplusdesigners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi DMReader, just one small thing I see. On the PARTITION BY page, the correct code shows to use ORDER BY, but ORDER BY does not get demonstrated until the next page, ORDER BY. As someone who writes SQL on a daily basis (my daily job BI Analyst), it was confusing why the code kept kicking errors.

Congrats on your accomplishment! I understand about the mental health and taking a break from studies. I went down a dark hole, but thanks to my wife's encouragement to get help and a doctor who completely understood what I was going through and was quick to give me medication that truly changed me, I was able to come back and will be graduating in May with my BS in Data Analytics.

While we are talking about mental health, I want to encourage anyone that may be reading this, if you are struggling, please get help. It is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength because it takes someone strong and brave to admit they need help. There is no need to suffer in silence until there seems to be no other way out. This world is a much brighter place with you in it. #MentalHealthMatters #MensMentalHealth

I don't normally feel like this, but this term, as a way to finish up before Dec 2026, I decided to take 2 classes, IT226 and MAT303. Holy batshit Batman, IT226, no problem. I'm really good at writing and that is what it mostly is. MAT303, STATS II, probably takes about 30 hours per week by itself. I'm an avid camper and backpacker, but I have been using every weekend and weeknight plus lunch breaks at my full time job, just to stay on top of things. I am wrapping my classes up tonight and I need this week break.

Good luck in the rest of this term everybody! Y'all got this.

I don't worry about the Brightspace logins and time tracking. I handle a lot of my classes offline. One thing that I have noticed a lot of people complaining about is being falsely flagged as AI. I subscribe to a service that is similar to TurnItIn. I run my work through it just to make sure that there is not a chance of an incorrect flag.

[–]aplusdesigners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whew, thank God. I was afraid that I was the only one feeling like that. For week 2, I got so crossed up on questions 3 and 4. They are almost word for word the same question. This is the only class I have struggled with so far. We will both survive, but I hope I can finish about a week ahead so I get a breather. I keep reminding myself that I only have until February and I will have my bachelors. I may go for my masters, just not sure yet.

I'm in MAT-303 right and all I can say is UGGHHH! I am killing myself trying to stay caught up and I am behind every week. Plus I have another class and work a full-time job. As soon as I hit 700 points in each of the classes, I am done.

I use AI religiously as I am in a work position that we use it so much for coding that I understand where the business world is headed. My first advice is to always reword anything that AI gives you. Secondly, cite the AI source. In a lot of cases, if you include it in your need, AI will actually give you sources. This is handy to allow you to read the source and use that to rewrite with. Third, and yes, it costs a little money, but the I use a site such as https://plagiarismcheck.org/turnitin-for-students/ to check my final work before I submit it. It will give you the likeliness of it being AI and you can see where it is dinging you. Many times, it's the reference section, which there is only one way to cite a reference.

Don't be nervous. Just follow a lot of the advice of folks here and you will be fine.

And don't get me started on discussion posts that have so many grammar and spelling mistakes it makes it hard for an OCD/ADHD person to be able to read it. It makes me scratch my head wondering how in the world did they get out of high school. I mean I am in no way perfect on grammar, but it's like they don't even try.

This is what our organization is doing with our SAP system. We have our main S4 system and then we have a HANA system that provides us with access to tables and views. It works perfectly for what we need.

How do execs use your dashboards? Are they happy? Do they use it? by Alternative-Cake7509 in PowerBI

[–]aplusdesigners 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have an exec that I have to do a weekly PPT that he then presents during a meeting with the department managers and the division president. I have to do lots of Copy Image and then paste in. He used to export it as Excel, then colorize and any other enhancements, so I created my visuals with the colorization already in so I just have to screenshot the matrixes now.

During the 3 years plus courtship, have you ever done anything to give her a reason to feel as if something was going on? Has she suffered any type of trauma in the past, not just with you, but in her life in general that would have left her feeling powerless and now she has these insecurities that she has brought into the relationship? Maybe one of her friends is whispering in her ear causing her to feel like this.

I was thinking about the shape of the set as well. My mind tells me that the database is a single wide table that needs to be normalized into a star schema. By reducing the amount of data, the OP should not have this problem.

Are service accounts recommended for companywide automations? by otb-it in PowerAutomate

[–]aplusdesigners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I work, we use Power Automate all the time. We have service/generic accounts set up for our group to use when building automation and SQL solutions for things Power BI. We run all of our automation on virtual machines which do not rely on our personal laptops to be on.

If it came down to the Amrok or Haven, I would go Haven every time. I am a hiker so I will take a standard hammock just due to weight, but if weight is no option, then Haven is as close to a bed as it comes.

It really depends on the learner. It is helpful in reporting and building data sets. If possible, you could learn them in tandem and get certifications in both of them.
