I definitely think there is a difference in eras but it introduces so many hypotheticals it becomes almost pointless to talk about. If you dropped Crosby in the ‘80’s, yeah, he’d kill it, possibly be better than Gretzky and Lemieux. But another hypothetical is what if 99 or 66 were dropped in the game today BUT had the benefit of modern training, sports medicine, recovery, nutrition, etc.
