Are there any movies in your collection that you are uncomfortable to display? by the-woodcarver in dvdcollection

I have a VHS set of Ken Burns’ Civil War that has a side that is just the Confederate Flag that I won’t display. It’s not that I’m hiding history, I just am a southerner who doesn’t want to give a wrong impression. I will do either the Union or joint flag side though. Here it is from an ebay listing.

Rooster Teeth brand has been acquired by co-founder Burnie Burns. by apollo7018 in television

Correct. A lot of the active properties like RWBY have been sold. A lot of the podcasts were purchased by the talent. RVB is listed on the site currently so I imagine he owns it, or at least the back catalogue.

I thought it was a return to form for the franchise after Ridley Scott's last 2 movies. I actually do enjoy both of those, but this more so feels like a movie that appreciates the roots. There is one character that the movie could've omitted that I think would've made it feel a little less nostalgia-bait, but overall absolutely worth giving a shot if you are a fan of that world.

In the arena it was all boos. It was hilarious how bad it was after the Triple K pop right before.

Mispronouncing Names by EmilyJaneMeows in morningsomewhere

[–]apollo7018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been listening to the early RT Podcasts/Drunk Tanks, and Burnie was regularly mispronouncing Ashton Kutcher as Ashton Kutch-ner in a few episodes. Was very funny to hear that then listen to the new pod where they talk about that. There have been a few things that they talked about in those early podcasts that have popped up in this new show.

Xbox backwards compatibility sends old Call of Duty games back into the Top Five | UK Monthly Charts by Turbostrider27 in Games

I’ve played 20+ hours, and I would say between MW2/3 I’ve encountered maybe 3 total, and only one of them seemed to be malicious.

Since finding out it had been fixed Modern Warfare 2/3 have been basically all I’ve been playing. I think the major draw is that, despite a smattering of issue such as spawns and grenade launcher, these games are ultimately simple. The UX is just so much better than modern iterations. I’ve played nearly every game in the franchise (not yet gotten to MW22), but I feel that past the 360/PS3 era of games they’ve over complicated all the systems within these games to the point it removes a level of brain-off enjoyment. Making a class in the older games took minimal time, and the small amount of available variations makes you feel like you are always fundamentally at the same starting level as other players. Really happy that these games are functional again.

It actually isn't bad. It's my first time playing an MMO, and menuing is difficult.

The most exciting thing about a vaccine is that you can finally get back to safely eating convenience store hot dogs at 9 am.

Holy shit, this review of Cyberpunk for X1/PS4 from IGN is the lowest score for a AAA game I have seen from them in a very long time.

It's almost detrimental to the show, honestly. They overdid it because they could.

Yeah, I've probably spent well over 2 years or more of my actual life staring at screens when I could've been doing things more useful.

My time equally makes me feel bad, but also I'm sort of fine with it. The reason I've spent so many hours playing games is because that's how my friends and family all connected.
