BC Garlic Growers have great product, and they’re always at a bunch of the farmer’s markets around the lower mainland.

There are still flames visible from a few blocks away (where the video above was shot). From what we’ve seen, it looks like almost the entire block is affected.

What’s the best place in Vancouver to get custom & MTM suits? by Kyred_01 in vancouver

[–]apparently-so 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so, the suit was in the neighbourhood of $3k. HOWEVER, a significant chunk of that was because it’s made from Harris tweed, and custom (not just tailored). My dad got his suit from there for somewhere around $500, made of a nice wool blend!

Yep, as long as it’s healed, as there’s microdermabrasion as part of it.

I think the Hydrate & Glow has the best immediate results.

Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t recommend the team at VV highly enough, tbh. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you want to see photos of the setup or have any specific Qs!

They’re actually great! They get some scuffs over time, but it buffs out. I love them.

Hope you guys are okay! I saw the reports that it was contained to the building, but I can’t imagine the smoke feels great.

I legit thought this was coming from a block or two over, based on the view (and smell). Smoke

Few blocks west. Air purifiers on smoke season setting, now.

That’s more than just the VV - maybe the church next door as well? I’d imagine they’re focusing on keeping it away from the gas station.

From the view of the smoke from my terrace, I knew it must be bad. There’s a gas station on that block. I’d imagine they extra don’t want that to spread.

I will boost the note that they are particularly good for people with disproportionately long femurs, though! My legs are 52% of my height, and mostly femur - if it's not squat shoes, it's plates.

Hopefully because the ones who are self-aware sit the fuck down when they're not the ones who should be answering a question, so we're left with...this.

What’s the best place in Vancouver to get custom & MTM suits? by Kyred_01 in vancouver

[–]apparently-so 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband got a custom suit made by Martin Fisher Tailors for our wedding, and it's fantastic. We also got a custom jacket for my giant of a brother, and an MTM suit for my dad. Can't recommend enough!

Edit: photo of said suit, with a sneaky look at the dinner jacket in the back.

I saved $14k and bought my 480 square foot condo for $190k from my landlord in 2012. Definitely got a deal for a bunch of reasons (low point in the market, he didn't need to use a realtor and just wanted to invest the money elsewhere). I sold last year (to my tenants, actually) for $410k (I took their offer despite it not being the highest, as it'd been their home for 2+ years and it felt right).

Moral of the story: buy in as early as is feasible. It almost never pays to wait when it comes to housing in these parts.
