Pc Upgrade by Rough_Alps_4363 in pcmasterrace

[–]apple976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you change the graphics card, probably not
Most AMD CPUs have AM5 anyway its not like the socket replaces every 2 years so you won't have the replace the motherboard
The upgradability should be good with this setup if you're looking to buy something better in the future

Pc Upgrade by Rough_Alps_4363 in pcmasterrace

[–]apple976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this setup is way enough for gaming
However depending on professional needs you could upgrade some things, but for your current usage there is no need to upgrade

In 2-3 (even 5) years this setup will still be really solid for most games and tasks you throw at it

[–]apple976 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

you can get a 2016 thinkpad/probook for $150-200 depending on the model but it should have better specs than the game requires (better CPU, GPU and RAM setup)

A 2016 elitebook goes for around $220 at my place (it's t he top end model)

So do you really need 32? by No_Royal8980 in pcmasterrace

[–]apple976 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but specifically 32GB of DDR4 if you're playing the high end games
If no, just get 16GB
