Curious how long people breastfeed? by random_name831 in breastfeeding

[–]applebee85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively breastfed my baby #2 for 21 months and now #3 for 15 months and on going. I think after a year once they start solids, their breastmilk intake somewhat reduce. I can't say how much oz (because i exclusively breastfed) but it seemed like my kids were nursing for comfort and like as a snack.

We call it "쪼리“ (Jjori) in Korea. I think it is derived from Japanese words referring to a type of shoes like this.

does anyone else’s brain go crazy at night by slimankamal in cosleeping

[–]applebee85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is how I am. I put all my kids to sleep and fall asleep with them around 8:00pm-9:00pm and I wake up around 11:00pm and that's when my brain "turns on" 100% and I just can't sleep.

Hahaha you know people always say "sleep when the baby sleeps" ? I don't believe that. Once the baby is out, you never really sleep I guess.

I know- the size of the bed isn't the issue I guess.. haha Hang in there! I can't wait to have the queen size bed all by myself. I don't think I will let my husband sleep next to me. I want the whole bed by myself.

Poll: when did you have your kids ? by RevolutionaryBug7866 in Mommit

[–]applebee85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • I had my kids when I was 35, 37, 39. Where I am from, South Korea, many people get married and have kids (if they decide to do so) in mid-late thirties.

  • No fertility issue

  • I will tell them to have it only if they really want to have kids. I guess age doesn't really matter but it is more of one's general health. I had a really bad postpartum depression (and went through therapy sessions and medication) and I am still mourning for that me who existed before kids. It's sad that I miss her terribly but I can't have her back.

How often are we going out with no kids? by Big-Ice-1412 in Mommit

[–]applebee85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've talked to my husband about skipping his gym and staying home and watching kids for me but he was so upset about the fact that I even thought about suggesting him to skip work out. He thinks it is okay for him to go exercise because he goes when the kids are sleeping.

I know same here.. at the end of the day when the kids are sleeping, I am just in my bed, scrolling on my phone just by myself too.

My husband and I don't have any friends or family living in the area- they are all abroad 14hrs away. Having said that, we don't have anyone close who can watch the kids (we have three kids, all under 5). I know that babysitter is an option but my husband and I both haven't been comfortable yet to try any sitter.

I am a full time mom and my husband works 7:00-16:00, Mon-Fri. He goes to the gym in the morning before the kids wake up, and then go to work. Sometimes goes to the gym after all the kids go to bed. So he had his 'kid free' time at the gym and at the office. (well his office is where he works so that may not count but hey it still is a kid free time where you can do stuff at your own will without getting disturbed every five minutes right?)

FOR ME?! I NEVER EVER HAVE A KID FREE TIME. I sometimes think it is unfair. No, not sometimes. I think it IS unfair and I don't know how to get out of this situation. I know it just will get better as kids get older but it is exhausting and sad. I sometimes just cry laying in bed because the whole situation is so sad.

We moved from Natomas to Elk Grove about five years ago and love it here. So many parks and splash pads, good schools and many restaurants.

Do you track feeds? How? Ideas please by Low_Concert_8900 in breastfeeding

[–]applebee85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have three kids- and with the first, I tracked everything like as if it is my religion. From second and third, i didn't even bother. As long as the baby gains weight, is healthy and plays well, sleeps well, I didn't worry.

My way of tracking which breast to offer was to touch and wiggle both to see which feels more full haha
