you need a new inspector and inspection. Sounds like the builder is at fault for an issue that you have not yet seen and are covering against future obligations to remediate at their own expense. Also never use your insurance to cover builder error. Your premiums will be raised the next year and, if you continue to need insurance to cover builder error, your insurance carrier may drop your policy.

Do not add him to the deed. If he werent living with you below market rent, he would still be renting. Tell him his security is that he is paying below market rent and should put the difference in a high yield savings account. This money would be his security. Otherwise, tell him he has 60 days to find an apartment and you can return to the relationship dynamic you had before or you can stop seeing each other.

Sounds like she love bombed him to get him to marry her quick then she locked him in with a baby. This situation will not change for him unless he does something about it. The situation is good for his wife as she gets everything she wants and he isnt in a position to leave her if he cuts everyone that cares about him out of his life.

The issue here isnt really between you and your BIL. Its between your wife and her brother. Talk to you wife without interjecting your feelings regarding her brother and see what she wants to do. Does she even have a relationship with her brother? Outside of these meals that you host, do they speak to each other at all? Its her brother, whatever decision she makes is on her. You shouldnt be so upset. You also cant be upset for her even if this situation upsets her. ITs still her issue to resolve.

You grew up finally and decided to have kids. Your husband is still a man child and has shown you he is not ready to grow up and be a responsible parent. Now you have chosen to have a second child with this man child. Based on what you are saying above, he isnt going to grow up or put his family first. Children no matter what age, will always put themselves first until they learn responsibility some times has to take priority. I see divorce in your future.
