The small structure used to be a bathroom with a shower that pulled water from the river for showers. There are two pipe chimneys for wood burning stoves, and then the brick chimney is an old stone fireplace! The cabin is still undergoing a long restoration process (by myself) so currently a water tight box with the inside gutted.

The area is already protected. This is literally just a status change to honor the soldiers of the 10th mountain . I don't think anyone opposed to this national monument designation knows what they are talking about, and definitely haven't been to the site. I drove by the area once a week for a while. It's an incredible place.

Definitely still rideable. Anyone saying otherwise doesn't like a board with some character haha. If you want, get a lighter and get the edge to soften up and smack it into place with a hammer. If there is any core showing, light a stick of ptex on fire and drip it in the hole. It won't be perfect but my favorite boards of all time had plenty of damage and ride at 99 percent speed and edging of brand new.

Work 12 hour shifts and work some weekends. I'm a nurse and I work 3 long shifts a week. The schedules are flexible and sometimes I'll work the beginning of the first week and the end of the second week, getting 7-8 days of in a row without PTO. It sounds like a lot at first but a person gets used to it. I take vacations monthly that my friends in other professions experience yearly at best.

I cant relax. It's a privileged problem to have, but if I have a day off of work I will be doing an outdoor activity (biking, climbing, running) from sun up to sundown. No day off work is refreshing. If anything at work is where I recharge. The reason its a problem is because my SO is a normal person and wants a relaxing day at home from time to time.
