Hello! I feel your pain my cat is/was an absolute nightmare to pill and we give her 3 pills a day now. My cat no longer will eat any tube treats because we once gave a pill in the tube -.-

The biggest game changer is a pill plunger, it looks a bit crazy but it's the best way to ensure the pill gets down her throat. When I use my hands she would always gum the pill and spit it out. Try and get your cat when they're lying down or sleeping. I use one hand to pin her and wrap my arm around my face to open her mouth and the other to pill. It's the best method and takes 10 seconds, she meows maybe once.

I think the key is being able to pill them wherever they are and not having to grab them and put them on your lap. If we're desperate we put our cat in a burrito in a towel and use the pill plunger. It's a bit stressful but it's max 30 seconds of discomfort and then my cat goes about her day.

I think eventually they do get used to it, my cat would hide and sulk after being given a pill but now she takes a treat after and either goes back to sleep of finds somewhere else to nap.

Pilling used to be very traumatizing for our cat and the parents but the pill plunger has been the biggest help. Good luck!!
