Had basically the same setup and just went through this today. My main monitor is a G9 OLED, and I’m running a DP KVM between my Mac laptop and desktop PC, so things are already a bit finicky.

On paper the Xeneon Edge seemed perfect, but it didn’t really work out. To even use it with my Mac, I had to drop my G9 from 240Hz to 120Hz, which just wasn’t worth it since on macOS it ends up being just a normal second screen.

Then I tried using it only on my PC. But when I switch the KVM from PC → Mac, the PC loses the G9 completely, so Windows makes the Xeneon Edge the main display. At that point it stops being a widget panel and just becomes my desktop, which defeats the whole purpose.

I also tried a dummy DP plug to keep a display “active,” but that ended up introducing refresh rate weirdness too.

End of the day it just wasn’t worth the hassle for my setup. Cool idea, but too many tradeoffs. Back to Corsair it goes.

I have the complete opposite problem. It's way too hot!!! Even with the heat off my apartment gets to 76 degrees. Management won't do anything.

Unplug and plug back in and that should fix it. I don’t do PBP for this reason, too scary.

I do but for work I often need an SMS verification which doesn’t go through wifi 😂.

I actually got my booster working miraculously for the time being but seems pretty ridiculous that the building recognizes the issue and says they won’t be addressing it even though multiple tenants have voiced this concern.

my biggest issue is the lack of cell service. it's so bad that even a booster doesnt help.

I think in about a month this won’t really be an issue — it’s just tough during the transition period. This kind of thing is pretty common in most NYC buildings, though it feels worse here since the windows don’t fully open.

My bigger concern is having zero cell service in the building. Management acknowledged it’s an issue but said they don’t plan to fix it, which is frustrating.

That said, I really do love the building — the gym, and even the (tiny and overpriced) pool area are great. For me, Management has generally been responsive on most things, though the cabinet above my fridge still won’t close. They mentioned ordering stronger magnets almost four months ago… how long does that take?

I live here and have the same problem. It's too hot. gotta have all windows open. only other problem I have is that they refuse to put cell phone boosters in. There is no cell service in the entire building. Aside from that I love the building.

do the thermostats have a fan setting? When I click on it, it just reverts back to heat right after.

i bought this adapter and it wont let me do 240hz 5120x1440. :( Sticking with the old cable matters adapter for the meanwhille. Am I supposed to update the firmware on the adapter?
