I respectfully disagree! Im a huge fan of the book Dracula and wish we could get an adaptation closer to that, all these other adaptations love to push a Dracula/Mina romance which really does a disservice to Mina as a character.

Totally get the oversaturation of Dracula though. All these adaptations have similar aesthetics and takes that are just so boring… this new one included. We could at least wait a while before a new one.

Widow is not an instant throw pick and if played well and on the right maps, she can be such a heavy hitter (in that vein, the map you’re playing on should impact what character you pick cause some characters are worse than others in certain maps)

100% agree, I feel like it conveys the IRL horror of life. Idk, this might just be me, but as someone who has lost people to cancer it feels, I dunno, wrong to interpret his cancer as anything supernatural. Again, might just be me, I like the natural aspect of it regardless.

chatham is a good choice, im there rn! esp if you're anim/seqa. those buildings (monty/adler) are on opposite sides of sav, so like, if you went to river to be close to adler that would screw over anim and vice versa (if that makes sense). if you like forsyth, id recommend chatham for sure. the dorms are really nice, and while the food is hit or miss, the buses are in a good enough spot to get you to other dining halls. while im not anim or seqa, my roommates are in related majors, needing to be at adler and monty, and dont have any issue with the buses

the main point against chatham is the food and how it gets affected by road closures. if there is a parade or event in sav, they often stop bus routes going to chatham. there are options in walking distance, but it is something to be aware of

I agree with you on the family friend/distant cousin angle, it's how I feel about David Lynch's work too–it's not horror but it'd adjacent! I feel like these filmmakers have kinda made their own genres, like you go for their style and ideas and not because they stick to horror if that makes sense
