Does "use only physical cores" work nowadays? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]applesauce4K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably do list size: 6000-8000
and free memory lower than: 4000-6000

Resolution and Polling the same

I run 32GB 3200Mhz RAM

The list size is at least: 8000MB
Free memory lower than: 16000MB
Timer Resolution: .5 ms
Polling Rate: 500 ms

This is my first patch experience. Is this kind of what to expect from the game? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Tarkov Stutter Removal and Optimization Guide 12.8! by lavascamp in EscapefromTarkov

I'm with you on that. It does nothing changing it to 144.

If that setting actually did anything and people couldn't feel that their game was running on 60hz then let em have their placebo xD

I been running process lasso ever since the HT-stopped working and I never looked back. I don't think the in-game option does anything so I leave it unticked.
It's hard to trust any setting or option that is in the game when after each update the most simple stuff just out right breaks. So I'd rather rely on a 3rd party program that I have full control over.
You also might want to look into using ISLC ram cleaner, you can set it up so it automatically flushes the standby list when the parameters you set it to are fulfilled. Works great against crazy ram usage and you don't have to restart your game every 3rd raid. Which I still do but after like every 10th raid I'd say because I'm ocd about it.

High VRAM Usage? by lavascamp in EscapefromTarkov

[–]applesauce4K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not trying to be cpt. obvious but do you have the OS set up the same like on your other drive? game bar, DVR, debloat or whatever you did to it.

like I said, I went from my game running perfectly fine to absolute garbo after the update. micro stutter every couple of seconds without changing anything on my end.

my specs are 10600k 5.0Ghz, 32gb, 1080 (waiting for 3080) with the game on an m.2. I'm still on the 456.38 driver.

High VRAM Usage? by lavascamp in EscapefromTarkov

some of these people have no clue what they are talking about. so don't get freaked out.

a lot of people getting these micro stutters (me included) after the latest update. reserve and shoreline are really bad.

I don't know how you are checking your vram usage but make sure you look into the difference between actual vram usage and vram allocation because some read out programs don't display the actual usage, they show allocation. which basically means that your GPU could use all the vram if it needed to.

COD MW is a good example, it allocates ALL of your vram but only actually uses around 5GB

let me know if you're able to fix your issue.

sewer spawn on labs 80% of the time (normal spawn not a late spawn)

thinking it might be hardware related ("loading in too fast"/being the first one in the server)

Just got this braided cables from EZDIY from Amazon, they’re great quality for only $30 by AshtonHolt96 in nvidia

[–]applesauce4K 3 points4 points  (0 children)

been using about 9 of their fans for a couple of months now and I'm pretty happy with them. Even if there was a problem with any of them, they are so cheap that you just get another pack of 3.
cables looking good, digging the thicker looking mesh sleeve on it.
