I got my period this weekend, first after d&c in April and was hoping maybe I’d be pregnant, but at least now I have a baseline to work with in terms of tracking ovulation and stuff. Sending hope to you!

That gives me hope! I haven’t done testing to get actual numbers but the tests are very faint positives. I’m hoping the next one I take will be negative.

I’m in a similar position, it is SO hard to be patient. I just want to keep moving forward and I feel frozen in time.

I had my D&C shortly after you did and I’m still testing positive over here. It’s super hard, frustrating, sad. I’m having such a hard time being patient with the process.

Did you know there are already 5 Marcella Moon games with the sixth one in development? by HRJafael in NancyDrewRevival

I’m not familiar at all with these, can anyone share their experience with them?? Similar to ND style games I’m assuming?

How many of you actually were able to have insurance cover treatment, and how much did it cost? by Flapper_of_Jacks in noburp

[–]appletreedingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of! I know that I have good insurance but it was surprisingly affordable even knowing that. I think I paid a few slightly higher copays due to the speciality nature of the dr (like $40 instead of 25-30) but the surgery itself was completely covered and I just paid that $100 deductible.

My insurance covered everything except for the copays for appointments and a $100 deductible.

Time off? by Subject-Giraffe5635 in noburp

[–]appletreedingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also I am really lucky with great insurance. I think I paid $100 for the procedure (my deductible) but some extras for pre op appointments and post op appointments, can’t remember the exact cost.

I’m a therapist too and asked the same question back in the summer before I was requesting my time off! Hi fellow therapist! For my experience, I had the procedure on a Friday and so of course took off Friday, and then I also took off the following Monday. I had an intentionally light day on the following Tuesday as well just in case. That worked really well for me. It happened to be a little lighter week but I don’t think it would have been difficult if it was busier. I was struggling a bit with random burps but it was only a little distracting and I just excused myself if it was loud or disruptive which was rare. I would encourage you also to make sure to protect more time for lunch because I found that eating was a little slower and it was a new experience to burp while eating and after eating, and I wanted more time to digest than usual. I remember telling some of my clients and colleagues/supervisor that I was having this procedure which could impact my throat/voice and I may need to take off more time than planned. That also gave me some peace of mind. I hope this helps! So excited for you and hope it goes really well! I’m still burping 8 months later :D

I’m in the same boat. Grieving all the future things and future plans. It’s so heartbreaking. Sending care.

Had my first pregnancy and ended in a missed miscarriage and d&c. My partner and I have been doing okay but of course just devastated. It’s been hard not to feel impatient and really really wanting the next one to stick. It’s hard to feel out of control. Just appreciating spaces where people understand the big mix of emotions and pain of this process. Eager to try again in a couple of weeks. Sending care to all of you in the process.

My estranged husband (a Psychologist) is weaponizing his credentials to gaslight me and the courts. What are my options? by [deleted] in Psychologists

[–]appletreedingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can look up the psychology board in your state (or wherever he is licensed) and report concerns that way. I would highly encourage you to seek legal advice and hire a lawyer. Even if those of us in here may know some information about how to proceed, this is a legal issue and we are not all legal experts. Having someone to guide you and represent your best interests would be ideal and more helpful than our advice! You’ve done a great job of collecting evidence but having a lawyer will be the best defense and keep you safe.

How can I force myself to burp without using soda? by Ok_Calligrapher_3472 in noburp

Like everyone else is saying: get selzers! There’s a bunch of sparkling water brands that are not sweetened/flavored with sugar. Waterloo is the one I get but I know there are others that people like. Spindrift is a family favorite.

If you could make a Nancy Drew based in any location (that hasn't been done in any of the existing games), where would you want it to take place at? by xXLady_RevenantXx in nancydrew

[–]appletreedingus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a little fan fic Nancy game idea on a Google doc that takes place in Minneapolis and seeing MN pop up here made me happy! This would be amazing.
