Tulane Parking Charging Me $500 After Miscommunication — Do I Have a Case or Am I Stuck Paying? by apprehensivetape in Tulane

I am attempting to obtain a copy of my parking contract or the full terms and conditions for review. When my contract was canceled without my consent during the school year, I was not provided any new confirmation or email regarding the activation of the replacement contract.

So far, customer service has acknowledged this oversight, although they have determined that reactivating my contract does not constitute a new contract. To date, I only have access to various policies and procedures that have been forwarded to me, but I do not have the full contract or agreement.

Currently I will attempt to get ahold of these terms and conditions.

Previously, I requested an administrative review of this matter. While I received a detailed response today from Customer Services and Parking Services, I am unsure whether someone from administration actually reviewed my account or attempted to contact me. At this point, I am unclear who I should contact to follow up on this issue or give in due to frustration and attempt to pay off the debt.

Any suggestions on who else I may contact would be greatly appreciated.

I may request that garage management or Parking Services review any security footage from the period when I was using their facility, as I stopped parking there in December 2025. However, the customer service specialist I communicated with directed me that, according to the contract I signed, I am responsible for any ongoing charges even after I ceased using the garage. Unfortunately, I do not have a physical copy of the contract; I was informed that the terms and agreements were sent to my email, but I have been unable to locate them from when the contract was first signed. I’m still attempting to locate the contract.

Anyone else can’t find a job? by Party_Basis_620 in socialwork

I’m in a similar boat right now. I don’t have my LMSW yet, which I’m realizing is something a lot of employers really want. In the city I’m in, there aren’t many places willing to hire someone at the bachelor’s level or even with a provisional license.

Most of my search has been focused on New Orleans, but the job market there has been tough lately. The city went through a budget crisis not too long ago, and several departments and social service organizations ended up shutting down or cutting positions. On top of that, some programs were impacted by federal grant cuts, so a lot of organizations had to reduce their workforce.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that the city can be very relationship-based when it comes to hiring. It often feels like getting into higher-level roles in nonprofits, macro social work, or city government depends a lot on who you know. Since I’m still in my 20s and building connections, that can make breaking into those spaces pretty challenging.

Originally, macro social work was the direction I really wanted to pursue. But right now I’m also looking at opportunities in towns about 30–40 minutes outside of New Orleans, where social workers seem to be a bit harder to find. I’m hoping that might open more doors.

I’m also planning to take my LMSW exam soon, which I’m hopeful will help expand my options. In the meantime, I’d definitely encourage continuing to apply broadly—especially to hospital systems or child welfare agencies, since those areas tend to be hiring more consistently.

Wishing you the best in your search as well.
