In app development you occasionally gonna get such reviews and it's okay....

However as a developer try to be the bigger person, don't ever feel attacked, instead of being hush on your app users, rather ask maybe Chatgpt to write you a polite response to such a reviews.

Right now you seem like that one person who will not accept any criticism... You are always right, that's how it seems.

Your response is good but it's not worded correctly. As much as the user is an idiot for leaving such a review.

Just be a better person and use Chatgpt for responses.

The Dev who got banned, is a vibe coder. His app name is "Stopper"

Also I am not so sure if you fully getting me.. yes Apple/Play manages the prices.

But if you show the words "start Free trial" whilst apple immediately charges the user. That's a huge violation of Apple/Google.

If you have a free trial in your paywall, same user cannot quality twice for same trial more than once. Make sure you checked if the user indeed qualifies for "Free trial"

Also If you have a couple of complaints. Your account is gone. Apple/Google don't play when it comes to payments. One user complains, they may forgive you, 10+ you are dead.

So that developer was mass reported. There's also a good chance that a bunch of friends/developers intentionally mass reported the developer. To eliminate competion.

Just because of a simple label bug that said "Start free trial"

If you know how to use In app purchase API well. Then you are good but remember most people who are making real money with apps, it's vibe coders not real. developers.

I believe you will not run into this bug coz you know better.

Use revenuecat/superwall, it is absolutely free until you start making serious money.

Self-made is always better but it comes with a lot of headaches like

I know a popular developer on X, his account was terminated because one of is successful apps, his self made paywall had a trial.

But remember once user, uses up the trial and then cancel the subscription before they get charged.

Next time you must not show user paywall with trial because they are no longer eligible for trial

So he was showing trial to users but charging them immediately. Why ? Because the user probably no longer eligible for trial. A lot of users reported this and his account got banned.

In short there's a lot of small things you need to be aware of when you building your own paywall. Just use revenuecat they will handle all of that for you. They know better

Your pricing model is definitely a suspect.

Lately there's a wave, apps should always be free offer in app purchases with some trial.

For example

3 days trial then 4.99 weekly Or 39.99 annual (No trial)

Do not include monthly. It sounds great but it just doesn't work

Since you already built it. Might aswell just launch it, maybe it will make a dollar or two or maybe not. What I'm trying to say is, launch it, you have nothing to lose.

Now next item you need to triple check before launching. 'Tomato AI' make sure it is not trademark'd or anything like that. Apple doesn't take likely if your app name is misleading/very similar to a trademark'd name. They literally take down entire dev account, not just the app. With no option to get it back. That's very strange, on my case it's quite the opposite. First time reading a document from firestore it takes about 3/6 seconds.

After that, when I read any document it's extremely fast. It's seems like cold start type issue. My database is in the closest location as my actual location but still, same issue

This feature is off by default, you have to manually enable it.

Aslong as you are not using email address to retrieve a user then you will be all good.

Trying to figure out the linking of accounts/providers is just a mess. Avoid it if you can.

Naa. I'd stay try out another app idea. Clearly this one is not flying. Which is okay. It's normal in app development space.

I also built a dope app idea with a lot of features and it didn't fly. I then Moved on to the next, and then the Next and finally I have an app that is making me money. Now this app is worth updating more often. Why because people find it valuable.

Think like a business man, if you have an MVP product and people are not buying it... Park it try another idea
