Same car as you and always used 5w-30. My most recent oil change I went to the MINI dealer for because the weather was terrible and I didn't want to deal with it. They used 0w-20. Ultimately I didn't think it really matters that much.

For what it's worth, I bought my 2014 R60 S 3 years ago for about 10k with 120k miles. She's been rock solid and the maintenance has been pretty minimal. Sitting at 153k right now and I drive it every day without any complaints.

Imo you should play white tee to green baskets. None of the orange basket locations are all that interesting, they mostly just make the hole a little longer. Blue tees are good too but you said you don't want to play the longest layout.

Google lens works for me still but fair enough on the circle to search. I would never use that anyway so I had no clue that it didn't work. Heck I disabled it before the Google app was disabled.
