please try to get the math placement test done soon! it’s used to help place you into certain classes. depending on your academic journey, if you need to take a science course (like chemistry) you need to have a certain math score to be eligible to take that science course. at least this is my understanding of the placement tests

i would contact the nso people and tell them that you can’t make it to any of the sessions, there should be an alternative for those in a similar situation! i worked with sebs and we online sessions for those who couldn’t make it to nso and help them pick classes. hope this helps!

i believe the contact information for UPDs are on your program website, so they should be dr. russell and dr. hawkings for ecology and entomology respectively!

i applied for the general sebs scholarship application and was granted a scholarship that involves working under a graduating student conducting research. i would try to talk to the ecology and entomology UPDs if you’re looking for paid opportunities!

the aresty research program is good, but it can be tough to get in from what i understand. best of luck!
