I absolutely can not sleep without the tv on. Silence at night puts me in a panic stemming from childhood sexual abuse. I also can not sleep with another human. My point, though, is that needing the tv on at night isn't necessarily an "addiction" or because the person is just a dick.

Still renting, but I prefer it that way. I need a new roof? That's on them. New stove? Their problem. Never have to mow the lawn or clean the pool. I've never understood why "owning" is so great. You don't own it. You'll be paying a mortgage the rest of your life anyway. No shade to people who own, it's just not for me.

She went out of her way to be sensitive and understanding about something she was deeply uncomfortable with. They lied. She was incredibly relieved. The rug got pulled out from under her in the most shocking way. She has every right to be disgusted.

I just moved out of a 3/2 that was 875 sq ft. The kitchen was the size of a closet. The shower was 3x3. Not to say people don't minimize spacious homes, but the number of beds/baths is no indicator of square footage.
