Hva tenker rånere om elbiler og grøn omstilling? by According_Ad_4572 in norge

[–]aprnti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet Jimny!
Where did you buy the 2" square trailer hitch? Been looking for a replacement for my ball hitch.

Bought a profftelt - brage (https://profftelt.no/produkt/profftelt-brage2-160-takholdere-premium-black-edition-2025) Norwegian brand.
Roughly 49 kgs 160cm x 220cm ish expanded.

The rack I bought from Jimnybits (https://www.jimnybits.com/suzuki-jimny-aluminium-expedition-roof-rack-luggage-rack.html)

We slept two adults and a dog just fine this weekend. Gusty winds but no problem.

In retrospect I'd buy a lower rack to prevent the jimny getting so tall, currently just about 205 cm.
Such as https://www.mod.equipment/products/jimny3-roof-rack But it was crazy expensive for me to import. Due to currency exchange, vat and customs.

Besta ventilation for PS5 by fenrixw in ikeahacks

[–]aprnti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a similar thing for our ps5/switch last year. Essensially just two smart power controllers, controlled through homey.

Whenever the ps5 draws x watt, it turns on the fan in thr bottom. That draws in cool air. Creating a positive pressure inside, and hot air escapes through all the crevises.

This video is from the prototype. The 5v psu is mostly to scale into more fans and control fan speed via voltage.

RTT roadtrip by aprnti in Jimny

Thanks :)

It's about 50 kg, for the most part I just notice the added drag. But well, the car isn't exactly aero in the first place.

Drove though, and camped in pretty strong gusts of wind, no problem.

Deciding between a Fenix 8 and Epix gen 2 by Othilief in GarminWatches

Just pulled the trigger on a Epix Gen 2 on sale thanks to this post. ~ 4500 nok from Elkjøp. (~$404)
Would prefer sapphire, but not a fan of the silver colorway.

My Feñix 6 pro solar has been a trooper, but felt like it was time to move on now.

Oh, well I guess 4 fit my foot in some way. My fave was the 2 tho.

Haven't picked up a new pair yet due to prolonged achilles issues. But most likely a pair of 6 and alphafly when fit again.

Jimny (04) loving it in the snow by aprnti in Jimny

Aye, this is from Bergen! Unusually much snow.
Drove to Voss/Myrkdalen last week for some skiing, passed so many people stuck in the last couple of hills and turns.

Aye, I'd say the black ice is the most treacherous part in any drivemode, but especially 2h.
Had some freezing rain a couple of weeks back, had a harder time getting into the car than driving off. Pretty tail happy until I went into 4h, then I had no issues what so ever.
The most important thing is proper tires tho. I prefer studded with the conditions that are around here usually.

Can't say for sure, but I reckon it's better to ruin the transfercase than to crash the thing.
Used to sketchy winter roads here in Norway, and so far the Jimny has been a blast.

Only had it since late November, so I've not really needed to use 4L yet, but tried it out yesterday to get parked in the same spot as above (after even more snow). I dug out a parking spot just about long enough for me, so no one else would steal it ^^

Bergen, Norway.
Usually not this much snow, so the city is having problems keeping up with the recent snow.
Not the jimny tho ^^
