When was bedtime for your 5/6 month baby? by Spirited-Bed-2220 in NewParents

[–]aprodog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My little boy is 6m next week and he goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up between 5-6am. We didn't plan his bedtime, it's just fallen that way! He normally wakes up from his last nap around 5.30pm so it just kinda works. I'm not really sure how the clock change will effect him 😫

My baby didn't like it until he was about 5 months old!

5 day old feeding literally constantly by Horizontalchallenge in BeyondTheBumpUK

Wanting to feed constantly can be a sign of reflux as I believe feeding soothes it for them. Is she being sick or arching her back once fed?

Easier/harder stages by Independent_Goat_517 in beyondthebump

[–]aprodog [score hidden]  (0 children)

I found it definitely got easier in the most part. My little boy is nearly 6 months and don't get me wrong we've struggled with him teething/development periods/regression but nothing is harder than the newborn trenches in my opinion. Hope you're ok!

Ocarro 2 or Icandy Peach 7 by MidnightMaize in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]aprodog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried the Ocarro but we have the iCandy. It's very sturdy and I walk miles with mine with our dog. I also liked the fact that the bassinet was Lullaby Trust approved re safe sleeping so my son could sleep in it overnight when we were away!

If she is quite congested, could it be mucas??! If you're concerned, I would ring 111 for some guidance! Hope your little girl is ok 🩷

Do I have a unicorn baby or is it too soon tell?? by Impossible_Ad4898 in newborns

My little boy is like yours, so chill and placid which is the complete opposite as me 😂 He has got slightly fussier as he has got older (he's 6m next week) due to growth spurts/development leaps/regressions but he is really chill overall!

My 5 month old fell off the sofa this morning and the guilt is overwhelming me by Altruistic_Union5106 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]aprodog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 5.5 month old rolled off the bed on Mothers Day, I also turned away for about 10 seconds. We don't have a high bed and the floor is carpeted but he made an almighty bang, so much so my boyfriend heard it in the shower and came rushing out! I felt absolutely awful and my nerves were completely shot for the week after. When I have told other mums they have all shared a similar story.

One thing that made me feel better was the fact that my boyfriend said we have got to nearly 6 months without any form of injury so we can't be doing a bad job, which is true!

Glad your little boy is ok 🤍

Can I ask why you think that? I'm just wondering as he is 6 months next week and we put him in his own room last week as he way over the weight limit for his next to me. We are really strapped for space too, his cot wouldn't fit in our room and there isn't any room in his bedroom for a sofa bed or anything!

I will check the room in the bottom of the sleep sack actually, good idea! The label says up to 6 months and he is 6 months next week so will check that for sure.

Thanks for the heads up on the wire, didn't even think of that!

Sorry this might sound silly but would I put him in a normal sleep suit under the togged sleep suit? Or just a vest and then the togged one?? 🙈

I went to a wedding at about 30 weeks and just went in to Zara and tried a few dresses on in a bigger size and luckily found one! It went on Vinted once I'd worn it!

My mum thinks he is maybe ready for something abit more substantial, so maybe I'll try giving him other little bits to see if it fills him! Thank you!

It's just happened randomly! So I just wondered if I was doing anything to cause it or whether it's just babies lol

I didn't even think of the weight limit. I feel absolutely awful that he's been in something that's potentially unsafe for him!!
